Two reasons. 1. Nostalgia: taking me back to the time when the song first came out. I was a senior in HS. Remembering driving along the Housatonic River while listening to it. 2. Beauty of creativity and artistic collaboration.

It’s clear he is growing up in a very loving home. That part about “making a deal” to do something fun together sounds like he learned that from mom. 😂😊
I am tweeting this just a few miles from Taos Pueblo. Virtue signaling about land acknowledgement does nothing for the Native women who face very real problems, including a high rate of violence.

The late Dr. Andy Cutler, a chemist, once remarked in an interview that observation is the most fundamental principle of the scientific method. From the very start of COVID, Dr. Kyle-Sidell paid attention to his own observations, not just to "experts" and peer-reviewed studies.
Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell acted as an early whistleblower in a widely-shared video. The WHO and China’s early ventilator guidance had killed thousands of innocent patients. A study later showed a 97.2% mortality rate among those over age 65 who received mechanical ventilation. 115/
Some events in Taos and Santa Fe still seem to be requiring proof of vaccination and/or masks. ?!? The NM PHE ended on 3/31, and the federal one ended on 5/11. At what point are people going to call it a day?🤦♀️
A very liberal longtime friend (we have known each other since about 1987) wrote to me today, "It doesn't mean we aren't friends if we don't vote the same." 🙂💜

My dad keeps telling me he can’t get into his “Hotmail 2 account.” He doesn’t have a second Hotmail account. His second account is Gmail. Please pray for me to remain patient. 😂🤦♀️

In Slovenia, and some other European countries, there is the Mlekomat, or raw milk machine. It’s a great use of technology to make raw milk available. I lived a 2-minute walk from one. It was like having my own cow. 😂

Many contributing factors, but the push toward low-fat diets (and the demonization of good fats) is one of the first things that comes to mind.
This is one reason Top Gun Maverick is so good. It shows men being tough, taking risks, protecting and defending. That is the role of men: to be protectors and defenders of women and children (in all settings, not just military). I support the patriarchy.

In “Up from Slavery,” Booker T. Washington describes freed slaves who were very keen to learn Latin and Ancient Greek because they felt that knowing those languages would give them “superhuman powers.”
Not one measure of the last 18 months has helped kids: not social isolation as a result of lockdowns, masking, remote learning, pushing vaccines on kids, closing playgrounds, or forcing parents into unemployment and financial stress. 😢
As a longtime child advocate, I remain in a state of disbelief that I (and parents everywhere) have to continually beg my own professional association

for tiny morsels of freedom for even the smallest children. In the US, we are putting children last.
Back in those days (I was alive then), people were not so obsessed with “germs” and “filth.” When we came in from outside, we took off our shoes and washed our hands with soap and water. That is all.
Kids today: in their rooms playing games on their phones and checking TikTok.

My mother used this kind of orange juice. She’d save the containers and use them for bacon grease. These filled containers would be put into the freezer. Later, we’d peel off the paper and use the frozen grease cylinders as a kind of fertilizer pellet for trees.
As I have mentioned before, my dad has always enjoyed building model airplanes. He just turned 88. This is what he is working on now. The wingspan is over 4 feet. I’m not sure where he’ll hang it. 😂
My eczema was almost gone (thankfully) but applying a small amount goat kefir every morning helped clear it up. The painful cracks healed up almost miraculously…..within less than 12 hours.

Registering for a professional event. Let’s see that they do with this. It’s fine if you want to list your pronouns. Don’t compel me to list mine. If I wear a skirt every day so that everyone knows I’m a woman, does that reinforce gender stereotypes? 😂

There are also hints of artistic talent as well. Note the perspective used in the depiction of the couple. Not every child notices this or can draw it. Nicely done! 👍

These are screenshots from a Facebook post by Dr. Tom Cowan. When I was growing up, my family had an organic vegetable garden. At first, the soil was poor; we had many pests. As the soil became richer and healthier, so did the plants. Pests were less interested.

I am tweeting less and less for these reasons:
a) reach of tweets is at an all-time low
b) I am tired of tweeting about the same old topics
c) Some of my views are too controversial to post here

For me, they’d have to be willing to re-examine the entire underlying premise. Otherwise, we’ll be going through all of this again next time.
Today, we signed legislation that allows the sale of raw milk within the City's jurisdiction. This will help local vendors sell dairy products at our farmers' markets and stores, and make a big difference for folks who benefit from its nutritional elements.
I just attended a two-day HR conference. Many of the sessions were related to employee well-being and mental health. I found myself wondering if people are generally less resilient, or if there are fundamental problems with the modern world of work or way of life.
With this post, I am "stepping into the arena," as Brené Brown would say.
