We are organising an international symposium on the predictive brain and cognitive feeling in July in Tokyo.
We have an excellent lineup of speakers. Everyone is welcome.
After nearly 10 years of my time in Brighton, I am leaving the UK today. It's a shame that this happens during the pandemic and I could not say in-person good bye to many of my Brighton friends. I will miss Brighton.
We are delighted to announce a symposium delving into alternative approaches to consciousness, as a satellite event of

on Hallucination Machine in the Wild: Simulating Altered States of Consciousness with the Real-Time Deep-Dream Algorithm in Augmented Reality. Wed 03 July 2:45PM.
From today, we are having a 3-days workshop, jointly organised with Embodied Cognitive Science Unit led by
@DrTomFroese
in OIST, the CHAIN in Hokkaido Univeristy, and Takashi Ikegami

lab in the University of Tokyo.
I amlooking for a postdoctoral researcher who can start later this year. The project is about XR systems driven by computational neuroscientific mechanisms and phenomenological investigations with them. If you are interested, please contact me.
We are having the VR demo on the realtime hallucination machine throughout the

confernce. Right opposite to the reception desk. Everybody try it ou!
I am going to give a talk at Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness 2023 on Modelling Phenomenological Differences in Aetiologically Distinct Visual Hallucinations Using Deep Neural Networks. Thanks for the great turnout!

@ImaizumiLab
and I developped the Japanese version of the phenomenological control scale. Let uw know if you want to use the scale for your own studies. We have an online setup.
Come to my talk tomorrow on the computational neurophenomenology approach to visual hallucinations at Concurrent Session (Artificial Intelligence), Classroom 204, 6:00pm-6:15pm

A new paper led by
@Hiro_Iizuka
&
@ShigeruTaguchi
They proposed superposition mechanism as a neural basis of perspetive taking and mirror sysstems without any assumptions of self and other.
