@mattyglesias This is the SV mindset, particularly in the shallow technology software industry. You create an app. It’s not essential, just entertainment. If you can’t make money, you make random cuts. No one except the workers get hurt. Doesn’t work the same way in government.

@IndustrlPolicy American laws aren’t transnational. Other countries have a right to make and implement their own laws around privacy, misinformation etc.
