The next adventure... ♥️
The Hewitt family is headed to Philadelphia! I’ll be working with
@TempleOwls
as an Assistant AD for Branding & Digital Strategy.
I am very excited for this new chapter in life, and I can’t wait to get started 👊
Men: Support women in sports.
Even if it’s not what you’re used to.
Even if it makes you uncomfortable.
Even if it means you or someone you know might miss out on an opportunity.
It’s the right thing to do, and we need your help.
Fun life update:
Still with
@UMichAthletics
, but now serving as Assistant AD for Digital and Creative Content! Super excited for this new chapter 〽️

Some things to remember about your profession:
- Your network is your net worth
- What people say about you matters
- The world is very small
- Good people > good skills
- Actions speak louder than words
- It’s okay to say no
Sad to say that my time at
@UMichAthletics
is ending soon. My life has truly been changed for the better because of this opportunity, and I'm so thankful for the relationships and experiences I gained along the way. 💙
Stay tuned for the next great adventure!
Feeling so blessed today.
I’m in Omaha with my fav baseball team. Working a job I love. For a university that made it possible for me, my son, + my mom to be here.
And my husband, knowing how much this meant, let me go — even though we’ll miss his first Father’s Day.
Wow.
To all my lady

friends:
Be confident. You are smart, skilled and strong. This field isn’t for the faint of heart so even if I barely know you, I know you’re dedicated. Stay passionate. Don’t ever let anyone dull your light.
Just a reminder that not every day has to be a *good* day.
It’s okay to struggle. It’s okay to not feel *your best.* And it’s okay to feel this way even when everything is fine and there’s really no logical reason for it.
You can’t have highs if you don’t have lows.
Nearly four years ago we joined the
@umichathletics
family. Since then I’ve gained a few skills, a few experiences, and a few pounds, but most of all I gained some of the most important relationships of my adult life. Thank you, Michigan for an incredible chapter. 💙
Nearly two weeks ago, my family and I lost my oldest brother to suicide. This world is darker and emptier without him in it.
Please, tell people you love them. Take mental health seriously. Care deeply for one another.
You matter. Every single second of every single day.
A few things:
1. Everyone on your
#smsports
team shouldn’t be white and/or male.
2. There is far too much of point
#1
happening.
3. I promise there are capable women and POC out there worth hiring.
4. Please try harder to diversify your staff.
I guess it’s official 🍒🦉
PS — Special shoutout to my husband for always supporting me and my dreams. I love you and am so excited for our next chapter!
(Apparently) unpopular

opinion: I hate seeing graphics on
@twitter
that are not appropriately sized for the platform.
Do you *want* your followers to see an athlete’s crotch when scrolling through bc your graphic isn’t the right size??
Has anyone else thought about how few women were included in last night’s NFL Draft event or are we just so conditioned to expect it that we didn’t even notice?
It wasn’t a dream!! So incredibly thankful to be a tiny part of this.
Thank you
@ksvoboda
for taking a chance on a DII girl so long ago. Go Blue forever! 〽️
There are no words to describe the past two weeks.
I feel blessed, heartbroken, tired, and happy all at the same time.
#Team153
will always hold a place in my heart, and I’m so lucky to have been a small part of something so special.

Sometimes being a mom means your heart is both broken and full at the same time.
If today is hard for you, I see you, I’m thinking of you, and you are so loved.
This morning I received a DM from the mother of a female in the sports community thanking me for “fighting the fight” for women in this field.
I’ve never met this person (or her daughter) but I’m so proud to be a part of this community and I hope I’m *that* kind of mom one day.
A reminder to my fellow introverts:
This app can make it feel like you should be constantly seeking attention and showcasing yourself, but actions speak louder than words.
Be good. Work hard. Do good things.
A very important person in my life had a very important medical procedure done today and got very good news from her surgeon afterward.
I’m so thankful for science.
YOU KNOW WHAT’S COOL
My son — who is white, blonde, blue-eyed, and *very* privileged — gets to see a woman of color serving as the Vice President.
Maybe one day he’ll want to be like her 💕
Special morning shoutout to
@sarahvan24
!
NO ONE has worked harder in recent years on an Instagram strategy, and
@umichwbball
just hit 25K followers 🔥 proud!
Didnt exactly plan to start a new job in a new city while working on this professional certificate.... but I did it. 🤗
I learned a ton through this course and loved being a “student” again, even if just for a while!
It’s been such a long, sad year but there are are seriously no words to describe this new experience... baby kicks have me in complete awe. I swear, nature is an incredible thing.
Please join me in congratulating
@kfgwinning
on her promotion to Associate Director of External Communications & PR for
#GoBlue
.
Katie is emblematic of a sweeping change in our industry. She's strategic, forward-thinking & team-first. She's relentless & we're lucky to have her!
Morning thought... 💭
What are you doing for your personal brand beyond social media?
What you say and do on this app *matters* but who you ARE and how you conduct yourself IN PERSON are way more important.
Are you reliable?
Genuine?
A hard worker?
That’s what managers want.
It’s funny because people are somehow always surprised at how women are treated in the sports world. Yet it’s a systematic problem EVERYWHERE — across every industry, the judicial systems, our health systems, etc.
Our ENTIRE society works this way.
Hello, it’s me. Haven’t tweeted anything real in a while for many reasons. But I got a haircut yesterday and that made me feel like an adult for the first time in a while.

Needed a pick-me-up today, then realized I'm probably not the only one. So if you aren't feeling your best or need a few words of motivation or just need to hear something nice, know this:
You is kind, you is smart, you is important.
You are doing great.
The good news is that our hospital birthing suite is quite nice.
The bad news is that we might be here for a while.
Ya girl took a tumble last night (I blame winter) and we’re here for monitoring. Baby is fine but we’ve got a long 24 hours ahead. Send good vibes please!
I’ve been to quite a few churches in my time but my new parish in South Philly is full of Italians that wear Eagles jerseys to mass and it is everything
