replacement as mayor chooses to comment on international affairs on the first day in the new job. I think this shows what the West Midlands has sadly lost.
The situation in Rafah is very worrying. An Israeli offensive must not go ahead. There must be an end to the loss of innocent lives.
There should immediately be a ceasefire, the release of hostages and aid should be allowed into Gaza.

Very sad to hear of the death of Alderman Dennis Doe - former Mayor of
@rbkingston
in 2003 and Cllr between 1986 and 2014. A very Christian soul who cared a great deal about this Borough and especially its schools. He was a long-term Governor Of Tolworth Girls School.

Free speech is free speech, but when you use it in a way that prevents reasoned debate then you become a pub bore, not a serious politician. Braverman has no filter and is therefore not fit to be an MP, let alone lead the party.

Lovely, but you realise that to build an apartment in London now costs £300k on average. It makes you realise why housing is not cheap. Of course, quite a lot of this is paid to meet the pile on of regulation the government has implemented.

I see that the significant scheme on the Kingston Hospital site has been allowed on appeal. The inspector has comprehensively struck out every reason the councillors gave for refusal. You do wonder what next for Kingston and does their new local plan measure up to the task ahead?

What’s a fair funding deal? We keep being told kingston doesn’t get any grant and it is self sufficient. Or are we just being softened up for another whopping Council tax rise because the council can’t live within its means like it’s residents are having to.

My argument all along was that this was an overblown vanity project unsuited to the town centre. We needed a new pool, not a monument to Lib Dem extravagance. You could have sorted the cycle lanes or bought Seething Wells on the overspend alone.
