@mitrakalita Interracial marriage wasn't even legal in the U.S. until 1967. When Kamala Harris was growing up, she was likely told about the "one drop rule." If you had even a single drop of African blood in the U.S., you were Black. There weren't as many biracial people in the U.S. then.

When nonprofit news orgs receive grants there is often language in grant agreements like this: "No grant funds may be used by your organization for purposes of influencing elections or conducting voter registration drives" A key difference between NONPROFIT & for profit news

We did have a conversation 2day abt how the next generation is interacting with news. I always tell folks talk to someone who is 20 years younger than you are. If you’re 30, pay attention to a 10 year old’s behaviors If you’re 50, a 30 year old might be using different platforms
