Both sides fought valiantly. There were plucky warriors on the Bim side. But in the end, Jamaican Twitter remained undefeated with its ruthless policy of no retreat, no surrender honed over many number of years of civil warfare.

Unpopular opinion: We need mass transit in Jamaica and to do away with the thousands of small vehicles transporting the public across the island. We don’t have the roads to support the current volume and the recklessness of that segment of transportation operators is egregious
I know a lot of folks dream of buying a luxury car but I am here to tell you that those cars (BMW, Audi, Jaguars etc) were not built/designed to be driven on roads in Jamaica. That’s just a fact.
While we are on the topic- one day we should drill down on why Ja is the land of opportunity for expats and why it is so difficult for Jcans to tap into some of these opportunities. But not today
Congratulations and well-done to the first Jamaican woman to become the CEO of one of Jamaica’s international airports- my friend Sitara. Nah tag her on here but i know she will see this.
At a private party in an exclusive community a wh*te Jamaican could not contain it any longer- they asked us who invited us and how did we know the host🙃
You can tell when someone is genuinely interested in what you do for a living. And you can tell when they just want to know how you ended up enjoying the same luxuries as them in a place they thought was reserved for them.
Despite what we might think want eg. getting off work etc. no-one actually wants Jamaica to get a serious hit from a tropical storm or hurricane. The loss of life, power, Wi-Fi, infrastructure and utter misery not worth it. Giving thanks 🙏🏽
The lesson I am repeatedly learning on twitter is not to message anyone anything that I wouldn’t be comfortable seeing posted as a screenshot. The ability to screenshot convos that were intended to be private is a weapon in the hands of the immature.
I just called Ministry of Labour office in Sam Sharpe Sq, the call was routed to Kingston office. I asked the man on the line how do taxpayers get in touch with the Montego Bay office and he said —- wait for it. He said we are to physically go there to talk to someone. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
303 kWh of electricity from
@myJPSonline
cost $16,300 in July 2021. 299.5 kWh from JPS in December 2021 cost $20,261.56. The monopoly needs to go. Expeditiously.
I am fully prepared to admit that before social media and in particular, Twitter I wasn’t aware so many prominent ppl locally and overseas are fully dunce and have so many trash takes
The state of romantic relationships in Jamaica is culturally and inherently toxic. Worse they tend to result in children which further tears at the social fabric. Both men and women are to blame.
Every time there is an electricity outage in the absence of a natural disaster event JPS customers should get a rebate. It’s 2022. There should not be weekly power outages.
I would add from u appear to be single in Ja then it means ur 1/ available 2/ available to anyone. A guy who worked in a GOJ agency w/access to ppls personal data phoned n tried to invite himself to my apt. I said I wasn’t home but he replied that my car was parked outside my apt
I am currently visiting my alma mater. I don’t think I have physically been here since the 90’s. It’s very surreal seeing your former stomping ground where many years of one’s life were spent.

20 years ago (!!) I had the honour of being called to the Bar by the esteemed B. St. Michael Hylton QC to whom I will always be grateful. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years already. I recall being relieved it was over and scared about practising law for real

I think WE as Jamaicans are so desperate to live in a safe and crime free society that WE don’t realize the slippery slope WE are on when rights and freedoms are infringed. I imagine WE believe that as law abiding citizens our rights can’t be infringed-only them (criminal others)
Leanna Wainwright from Montego Bay- won 5 medals for Jamaica at CARIFTA Games 2019 3 gold 1 silver and 1 bronze. Backstroke Princess! We need a 50M pool in Western Jamaica!
People can’t just leave their jobs. This is disingenuous esp where you have specialized training and your employer is the main entity that hires people with your training. The 2 main political parties in Ja were born out of workers rights and industrial action. Were they wrong?
Every security personnel I’ve encountered in Egypt and at airports over the last few days, as soon as they see my passport, they have to call their supervisor to verify Trinidad and Tobago is a real place.
@NarkoGREEN
Ppl really creating all types of content- if someone told me 10 years ago ppl would watch other ppl pay car insurance i would have laughed (at them).
Despite best efforts and hard work some folks will never really succeed in life. So when ppl work hard and put out their best effort and succeed, they are considered fortunate. There are many forces still outside our control no matter how hard one tries.
A friend of mine mother told me today that
“im fortunate” while I was giving them a ride home.
For some strange reason I felt sad.
Why? society only sees the glow now, but where were y’all when I was sell cabbage & tomatoes in the market??🤦🏾♂️
Unpopular opinion alert: if Jamaicans from uptown to downtown to rural to midtown weren’t tiefing to party/lyme pressure would a buss the pipe long time. Most Jamaicans are not built for austerity and restrictions on enjoyment which tend to involve socializing, music and alcohol
I don’t understand why people default to calling women Mrs. lastname when they don’t actually know the person’s marital status. Why not default to Ms.?
