It’s not just “39 student athletes and 6 coaches affected.” It’s entire livelihoods uprooted. A place we called our home and happy place gone. My heart is completely broken, but I will fight for each and every one of our girls to help put the pieces back together.

Life update:
I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from college coaching. I cannot say enough good things about Belmont, the athletic department, and the softball program. I had more fun coaching this year than I ever have in my career.

Louder for the people in the back! Burnout/fatigue are seemingly at an all time high in college athletics. It’s hypocritical if we’re telling our SAs to prioritize mental health & finding their identity outside of sport but not doing the same as coaches.
Sometimes less is more🤷🏻♀️
I know a lot of coaches who work long days 12 months a year. However, many coaches are notorious for accumulating non-productive hours at work, or “junk hours.”
Who gets more done?
1) The athlete who goes to the gym for 90 minutes of focused, productive, work.
