If someone wearing shorts to an interview is enough to be considered “unprofessional” and unworthy of a job maybe the problem is the arbitrary standard of professionalism we apply because how is dressing comfortably related to someone’s ability to do a job?
Does anyone else feel like young adults display a distinct lack of professionalism? They don’t know how to dress for interviews, send emails, network, write resumes, or conduct themselves professionally in a lot of ways and I’m wondering where this “gap” is being created.
