@JohnJHarwood Being adverse to corruption is sort of the opposite of authoritarianism.

@JamesSurowiecki Less than one month? They had to close 19 locations because of a loss of funding for a few weeks? This sounds kind of exaggerated.

Doesn't Congress get to decide what's legal or not by passing bills? And doesn't the vide president get to cast a tie breaking vote in the Senate? So doesn't the vice president literally get to decide what is legal or not? Lmao, isn't the guy in the government? The courts just rule on cases based on what Congress decided what was legal or not.

I don't think it can do it fundamentally even if they throw more training at it and more CPU. At its core it's an llm not a thinking machine. It doesn't do logic or reason and without some additional breakthroughs on par with the llm itself I don't see their them reaching their goals.

@circlerotator @WesRothMoney Also the problems tend to be well known and memorizable vs the more open ended problems you face in the wild

One time I helped a company integrate with an API that had access to all social security numbers I was too afraid to use it on random numbers, it was live data with no restrictions or monitoring as far as I could tell, so I used my own number for testing and was shocked to find like 5 other people have my number too. I think they were all dead (except me) but I wouldn't be surprised to find that wasn't always the case.
