This is a true crime trial I edited and animated with element 3D 💼
I had to silence the voiceover, but I think you can understand the whole story without it!😍
Anyway how to improve?💯
It takes me on average 6 hours to make 1 finished minute of footage.
The price next to the time is how much I would have made doing minium wage instead.
Day 4/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
Every day this month I will learn at least 1 aspect of video editing.📷
I was in another
@vfxmalice

With a review and ranking🔼
(Stealing

Day 2/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
Every day this month I will learn at least 1 aspect of video editing.📷🏫
Today I learnt from a youtube tutorial how to make melting text...
I dont know what it will be useful for lmao🤣
I made 2 versions of the same trial edit a while back and here is first one,🦆
Will post the next one later one today...✴️
Any criticisms for this?📕
(and do you guys want to have the phone...?🎶)
@Moneybaglives
It's because of your rem sleep cycles are 1 and 1/2hrs long
So waking up after 8 hours makes u feel groggy since u are in the middle of a cycle still.
Whereas 6 hours is 4 complete cycles
7 and 1/2 is the best tbh...
Guess who turned 22 today🎈?
Here are a few of the life lessons I have learned so far📅(a thread):
Don't worry I'm not gonna do 22 lessons, I'll do 5, I don't have the patience for that lol.
This was a trial edit I didnt finish from a few weeks back, I was so swamped back then...🙂
So there is no sound effects and some of the animations are incomplete or off timed😌
Should I complete it and put in on my portfolio?🧩
(i really like this so far)🤩
I made 2 versions of the same trial edit a while back and here is first one,🦆
Will post the next one later one today...✴️

Day 1/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
I plan to educate myself every day this month on at least 1 aspect of video editing.🏫
I have gone through 3 modules of Hillier Smith's course today...
I have about 9 pages of notes in my google document...
If you guys are struggling to be creative and coming up with ideas.💡
Use the motion graphic section of behance -
I really like this one animation below created by the Neversitstill animation studio -
Day 5/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
Every day this month I will learn at least 1 aspect of video editing.📷
Today I fully learnt about how the dolly zoom works, its one of my favourite effects in severance.
Infact one of my favourite effects all time.💟
I have editors depression,
It's a immense feeling of dread after staying up late and neglecting your life to make an edit.
It almost zaps the life energy out of you.
Like you are putting your life into it.

This was the intro a video I edited for a client...
The retention on the video performed below expected, I can't figure out why though.
Why do you think that it did?
This is the full video; if you want to show it love:
Little tip for you editors on twitter i learnt from
@TheHarbonator
👀 :
- Dont post about how hype you are for the GTA 6 TRAILER
- UFC clips and things you have seen on twitter
- Do post about your own work
- Client testimonials
- Cool edits you have seen other editors do
Looking at my twitter growth over the past 3 months has been inspiring.
It shows that I can progress and make more money and build this business.
I just need to keep going...
Im really proud of how it came out considering,
long it took me to nail the 3D car movement down for the true crime edit.🥁
AI will be able to replicate this is in seconds soon...🤷♀️
This is a true crime trial I edited and animated with element 3D 💼
I had to silence the voiceover, but I think you can understand the whole story without it!😍
Anyway how to improve?💯
I'm taking a break from video editing, twitter and etc...
I want to improve my skills as an editor and move in the direction of a creative agency.
I'm going to be learning about social media optimization and etc...
I've got a potential client im going to be working with after.
3. You are a Business... MAN!🕴️♂️
You are the business, if you are messed up the business fails🫧
Take care of your health, mental and physical...🉑
make sure to EDUCATE yourself and get the correct info you need.🫑
Sometimes I wish I was a faster editor....
the amount of bread i could be making🍞
...i would have so much more time to spend with my new cookbook, baking more more cakes too
I'm quite behind on my November learning series so I'm gonna do a few a day.
I'm also behind on editing and other stuff and I need to get back on track
Curious question for editors, ✂️
I want to up my efficency as an editor, ⏰️
what is the most amount of video you have done in a month?
@vfxmalice
recons you can do about 10 a month with peak efficiency 💯
Day 3/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
Every day this month I will learn at least 1 aspect of video editing.📷
Today I learnt how to animate invidual characters in after effects...
I used it for this video:📸
*sorry about the sound, please turn it off*🔊
Day 7/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
Every day this month I will learn at least 1 aspect of video editing.📷
Today I read a bible verse about productivity that said:
" if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee
1. Dont work on steps you aren't ready for....
if you dont have a portfolio - dont look for work📕
dont have good skills - dont try to increase your prices🔥
Focusing on the wrong thing can lead to more problems later on.🥰
I have done the impossible as a video editor!
I feel like Jesus turning water to wine...
I can now turn still static images into animations now!
Hopefully I can get into making animations for storytelling youtube channels...
Want me to drop a breakdown?
4. (Finale) Edit from left to right🔊
Make the elements come on screen from left to right, especially for before and after sequences.🇧🇱
Since most english speaking countries read left to right so its easier for their brain to process📒
Im starting a new challenge based on
@JanKraljEdits
tweets.
September the goal for video editing profit is $1500.
Gonna be applying for editor roles from now to the 1st. What is your September business goals?
$0/$1500 of my goal
This guy in our video editing group started about a month ago.
He joined vc all the time and asked questions constantly, asking for feedback and help.
Now he has clients and gives advice.
I would honestly give him a most improved award.
@nesstel3
Day 6/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
Every day this month I will learn at least 1 aspect of video editing.📷
Had another Q&A with
@vfxmalice
and here are the lessons I learnt: (A thread📕)
Malice was eating and know he would 100% love this screenshot I took.
Small Thread:
I used to be addicted to ****,
I would waste my time and effort indulging in it.
Procrastinating and trying to myself feel better.
I wouldn't even try at life and just lived for ****,
You may try to guess what it is.
Guys im going to be moving closer and closer to the motion design side of video editing.
I'll just give away the project file for this so you guys can use the template when you want, here -
Day 4/30 - November Video editing University 👨🏻🏫
Every day this month I will learn at least 1 aspect of video editing.📷
Today I learnt how to optimise my workflow through a course called " how to be a speed demon" and its been spending up my edits.
Why can't the women I date accept the fact that because I am broke, I must work more...?
Its not a difficult equation lol...
There is no balance for broke people.
I realize I genuinely love making animations in my videos and dont like editing vlog like content.
What type of video do you guys like to edit/watch even?
2. Never close your DMs or stop looking for clients.✴️
Mr. beast or logan paul could pop up in your DMs one day...🧝♀️
Even if you are busy its better to turn them down temporarily and grow leverage than to never have them at all...🎶
Did I get Scammed?
Just finished a trial edit for a potential client.
I gave him tips to implement on his channel,
He implemented them and he got the same views in a day than his last video a week ago.
I haven't heard back from him...
Day 9,
cutting my fast short on day 10.
I had to drink a protein shake yesterday and I nearly napped twice.
The mental clarity is nice and all but it's not productive if I'm sleeping.
3. Don't give too much context to your edits.📕
Often times we overwhelm the viewer with text and arrows and different things on screen to give context.📙
If we trust our viewers intelligence, they will be smarter🧠
You guys won't believe this..
But I actually write better copy in my tweet replies.
My tweets give me that feeling of chasing the wind...
It feels like a lot of effort.
But no movement or progress.
Do you guys feel the same?
the show severance makes me so tingly, its so well made top tier show, I like how every ascpect of this show is so well made,
I feel excited and a sense of dread as I watch, even as an editor picking apart the shots it makes me love the show more.
