@runningmoron @RachelBitecofer The American people didn't vote for this. 1/3rd of the American people voted for this.

@JohnSmithe27669 @richardearnett @AriMelber Yes, the judicial branch absolutely controls the executive. That's why the judicial branch exists.

And broadcasting it on Twitter and pointing to the lungs and calling them "fraud."
DOGE @elonmusk approach feels like a surgeon trying to remove a small tumor using a saw instead of a scalpel, without pre-op imaging or taking a patient history, and also removing organs that arenβt diseased but that they just donβt like. And with med students doing the procedure

@JohnSmithe27669 @richardearnett @AriMelber "Presidential immunity" exists only to the extend a court agrees.

@richardearnett @JohnSmithe27669 @AriMelber Yep. And since none of these decisions are about functions the executive has control over, we'll quickly learn whether Trump is going to obey the authority of the courts (as granted by the Constitution) or whether he's going to lead us into civil war.

Woke isn't going anywhere - and holy shit are you going to get woked the fuck up once the adults are back in control.
Donald Trump on the Kennedy Center where he named himself the Chairman of the board: "It's not going to be woke. There is no more woke in this country. This woke has cost us a fortune and cost us our reputation." π

@JohnSmithe27669 @richardearnett @AriMelber Of course they can. What mechanism of the Constitution prevents them from rendering a decision? Their decision may be overturned on appeal, but nothing prevents them from making a ruling, and the executive must obey the judge.

@mediachecker @AriMelber If you wanted to balance the budget and lower the debt, Harris was a far better bet than Trump.

@richardearnett @AriMelber Yes, but they are allowed (and required) to control the presidents illegitimate power.

@SmallSandi @thejackhopkins Treason came into play long, long ago. We have an established traitor "serving" as president at this moment. Nobody stopped him before, and he's banking that nobody will stop him now.

@ToddJones312 @FPWellman I'd love it if someone were to eventually identify fraud, waste, and abuse. As it is, we have MAGA theater with Musk tweeting about things that are none of these.

@admcrlsn I just hope the USSC doesn't subscribe to the "he might not respect THEM but he'll respect US" school of thought, and allow him to defy all of the other courts and simply rule in his favor. When this makes it to the USSC and if they let it slide, we know the era of law is over.
