I've been packing prints today and I wanted to say a thank you to everyone who has engaged with my recent posts.
Print sales have taken a nose dive the last twelve months & due to the wonderful response here I've had a little flurry of sales - so thank you everyone! 😊

I've been lacking inspo & motivation recently, so I've gone back to birds in the hope of revitalising my mojo.
Still working on this, trying some different colour combos.
Any favourites?
1/4👇
As well as digital reproduction prints & posters I do also have a few screen prints available. These are created individually by hand in very limited runs making each one a unique piece of artwork.
A few process images of my blackbird print 👇
The finished Great tit illustration to go with my existing Blue tit
I've been around the houses with this one, so so many teeny tiny variations and I just couldn't make my mind up. I've decided to settle on this one, for now anyway... always subject to change! 😆
I need to make room for some more printing so all my current stock of screen prints are on sale this weekend. Prices from just £15 inc free UK p&p 🙂

A little process time-lapse video of my recent great tit illustration. This doesn't show all the back and forth of colours and shapes but it gives you an idea
More prints going out 😊
These three make rather a nice series
If you'd like to order a pair, or series of these prints, but prefer a bird facing the other way, I can always flip them so they work together. Just leave a note at checkout
Throwback to 2019 and my interpretation of a couple of London Underground posters.
See the originals below 👇
Foxgloves by Dora M Batty, 1924
The Cactus House by Frank Newbould, 1922.
Erring on the side of caution I'm starting this thread again using my alternative sport logo. The idea remains the same, to see how many sports I can illustrate over the next few weeks in this simple matchbox label style

I made a start on my next bird illustration today. Probably not a very popular choice, but they're a very frequent visitor to our garden so I thought they deserved to be be included
Think I'm going to leave this as it is for now. I've added various things in the background only to take them away again... which pretty much sums up all of my work😆

Merry Christmas everyone!
Thank you for all your support this year. I hope you have a wonderful festive season, and I wish you a happy, healthy, bright 2024 ☀️
With the Olympics drawing to a close this evening my own sporting project is taking a break. I've managed to illustrate 17 of the 32 sports over the last couple of weeks & plan to complete the set in due course

I've been tinkering with this way too long today, so I'm going to leave it as it is for now. I wanted to add a little texture but not overdo it and loose the roughness and spontaneity, which is really difficult!

I’ve been having another go at illustrating a goldfinch as I wasn’t happy with the one I did before. Still working on it, but I think it's definitely an improvement. It also has a little bit of

on it to sneak in for this weeks

Just had to share these amazing posters I discovered yesterday by Belgian artist/designer Gaston Vanden Eynde. He created many posters for Belgian airline Sabena in the 60s, these are just 2 of many beauties😍

Big Garden Bird Watch this weekend. I've not spotted many of these yet though, it's all very quiet here at the moment

This Jay is another of my screen prints, shown here along with a few process photos. As you can see my setup is very DIY as I print these from my desk at home.
Works a treat though 😊
There is a hive of activity at the Sainsbury Centre today in preparation for opening weekend of Art Deco by the Sea. We are looking forward to welcoming many of our members to be some of the first to view the exhibition tomorrow. Visit
The year's drawing to a close so here's the obligatory look back on 2023. It's been a slow year (I don't think I'm alone in that) but I've still worked on some great projects with some great people. Hoping this year's a blip & things will pick up in 2024, forever the optimist!
I've gained a few new followers after posting my most recent bird illustrations, hello all 👋
Here are some more from my growing collection.
This is an ongoing personal project & I do illustrate loads of other things too! Have a browse of my website to see what else I do
Just one space to fill...
You may notice I've changed calendula (what a surprise😄) I wanted more autumn tones & I already had too much green in the set.
I will make a few fine adjustments to some of the early ones too, as the designs have become more complex as I've gone along
Today's cheerful illustration, I love a duck, they always make me smile😊
Hopefully I'll get around to sharing some new work soon. I am incredibly lucky that I am still busy with client work at the moment🤞🙏 so unable to share what I'm currently working on.
No 6 is my floral stamp series.
This one is a little busier and more complex that the other designs, but I think that reflects the climbing, often tangled nature of sweet peas.
These are the 3 prints I sold last night thanks to
@timbudgen
's thread, so to pay the favour forward if you are an illustrator, artist, designer post a link to your shop/portfolio below & I'll retweet. I haven't really got a massive following, but every little helps!😃
1 or 2? Having tried hundreds of variations, I've narrowed it down to these two. The first is the safer option. The second is more abstract, however I do quite like that. But then the first one probably fits in better with the other birds I've done. Decisions, decisions...

poster reinterpretation. The original 1924 poster by Dora M Batty is one of my favourites; it's been on my wall for years. I decided to try something a bit different & have gone rather abstract and minimalist...

I've been struggling a bit with personal work recently, I can't seem to finish anything I start. Today I was determined to complete something, so decided to stick with something small & simple(ish) 🌱🌿
Coincidentally my latest commission, one of two Lido posters for London Transport museum & TfL, (now to be seen on the London underground) is perfect for this weeks

again! I wasn't sure whether to take part this year but I'm going to give it another go. Same but different to last year, I'm sticking with stamps as it's a nice format to showcase simple little designs.
Here's no 1...
I’ve been amazed at the response to my cactus screen print despite them all being a bit off, thanks everyone😀 This has really spurred me on for my next go & I’m feeling ambitious! Anyone have any preference for my next attempt?

Hi new followers, welcome 👋
A brief intro - I'm an illustrator open to commission who also sells prints. I have a huge love of art deco & mid century poster design & I like to recreate a bit of that retro vibe in my own contemporary style.

For the first time in a while I have a little free time; so I thought I would come back to this personal project & draw a chameleon to go with my flamingo. Any suggestions for what should come next always welcome...
