As soon as MLB stops signing velo and starts signing pitchability at 90-2 w/ a 3 pitch mix...then the players will react accordingly. Don't hate the players. Hate the game.
Umm..depending on one’s measure for pitchability, today’s guys pitch as well as they ever have. BB/9 3rd lowest since 1990, K/9 4th highest ever, 8th lowest ERA since 1990, held hitters to the 7th lowest BA ever. This old head narrative is tired and nonsensical.

@hittingguru7 @CoachKsAcademy @isaiah17567938 I don't disagree. He's got lots to work on. But don't blame the kid. Blame the game. There were 10 guys that were 92-4 with + off speed and command. Guess how many of them got signed? ⭕️ 101 off the backstop…signed. It’s a different game than when you and I played.

The new CBA and only 165 MiLB roster spots is absolutely brutal-but flashing 100+ in an INDOOR pen in turfs tends to get you noticed! And the KC Royals noticed! Zay had a deal in hand before he left the building! Zay joins fellow #KsPro & AAA POY @john_rave as a fellow Royal

Thanks for coming Seif! Seeing 101 from @isaiah17567938 was wild. Seeing him get signed on the spot was next level!!
Coach K had all of the new tech with TM & Rapsodo, but the old school signing of the arm pumping 101.4 to a MiLB contract on-site just a few minutes after his pen was the day's highlight for me. You just don't see that very often anymore -- empowerment of area scouts. Love it!

One of my favorite days of the year. A group of mostly strangers that all wake up everyday chasing the same goal. Different stories. But all have been putting in the work behind the scenes w/o silver spoons. Blue collar grinders.
