When I started this journey a year ago, the goal was simply to lose weight. I managed to move from 75kg to 60kg through eating clean and consistent exercise. Don’t stress too much about where you are now. Simply start and the rest will follow, I promise 🏋🏾♀️

From Monday, no drinking, we are exercising 3 times a week minimum, no sugary and fatty foods, drinking 1.5-2 litres of water a day and we are getting 6-7 hours of rest per night.

September 2017 was the beginning of my fitness and wellness journey. 2 images of the same woman yet completely different women. I had to be the woman in frame one in order to be directed to the woman I am today. I always look back at this comparison to remind myself of the WHY.
I had heart surgery at 18 years old. They literally stopped my heart from beating, in order for the surgeon to operate it. They connected my body to this machine, called a Cardiopulmonary Bypass Machine to take over the functions of my heart. My heart was still for a few hours.
I fully understand why people prefer Instagram. Say what you want abt it, but the community is kinder, respectful & if your content doesn’t appeal to them they keep it moving
This app always preaches “kindness” and “mental health matters” but it’s the first to shred people apart

If there’s one thing you should invest in this year, it’s an air-fryer.
Your food is healthier, just as tasty but with less fat and calories compared to oil frying.
It’s versatile, you can cook almost anything with it even bake. It’s convenient and time saving.

I generally don’t like asking people for help. I’m not use to it. This is in a relationship (family, friends, romantic etc) context. I dislike the feeling of being a burden or needy and more especially, I’m afraid of rejection/dismissal. It gives me anxiety.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine myself, Nita, from a small town of Kimberely would ever be a cover girl of a Fitness Magazine. I cried when I was told about it, cried even more when I saw it.

Mini thread on the unpopular truth about weight loss, my advice based on how I lost weight and worked for me. This is NB because we are about to go into January and you will find a lot of people selling the “secret” and a lot of fad diets. Bookmark/like this for future reference.
Consistency. That’s how you form and build trust. Pitching up every single time. Honoring your word. Communication.
Consistent effort is the key to building trust and successful relationships.
My parents separated during my childhood. If anything, it taught me the importance of leaving when love and respect are no longer served. I learned that my happiness and well-being matter more than upholding a perfect family image or fearing the label of failure due to divorce.

Starting skipping today. If you want to lose weight, skipping is where it’s at.
Its a fat blaster, full body workout and great form of cardio. I highly suggest you add skipping.
Find a skipping count base. Add 50 more skips gradually each day. Do more if you can.

2. Start getting back into your daily/sleep routine.
I hate being stopped by METRO cops. You are guaranteed to get hit on by them it’s actually annoying and such an abuse of power. A whole 5 -10 minutes of my time wasted answering irrelevant questions such as why I’m single and if they can call and visit me. Ugh.

Dad finally discharged from hospital. Was admitted last week Monday because of diabetes and had to get one of his toes amputed, had nearly lost him.
Grateful to God that he’s recovering. Life is so unpredictable. Appreciate those you love while they’re still around 🙏🏾
My family and friends used to tease me saying I was dead for 6-7 hours during the operation because my heart basically stopped beating for hours and my body was functioning on a machine. When the surgery was finished, my heart was restarted.
I honestly, cannot, CANNOT, say God
I’m learning so much abt myself in 2018. I’m in touch with parts of me which I didn’t realize existed. Some good and some bad. I am in the process of unpacking every aspect of myself. Sitting with it. Understanding it. It’s not an easy process but I wouldn’t trade it for anything

Never underestimate ur experience
