#Hyderabad : Telangana CM #RevanthReddy inaugurated #Microsoft ’s brand-new 1.1 million sq. ft. campus in Hyderabad. Microsoft announced 4,800 new jobs, AI training for 1.2 lakh people and ₹15,000 Cr investment in #AI Data Centers in coming years. Hyderabad, 13 February 2025: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy along with Minister for IT & Industries inaugurated a brand-new campus ofMicrosoft as the company celebrates its glorious 25 years in Hyderabad. This state-of-the-art 1.1 million sq. ft. LEED-certified building in Gachibowli will house 2,500 additional employees. This is already Microsoft's largest R&D hub outside US Headquarters and the inauguration of the new campus further consolidates Hyderabad’s position as the leading global IT powerhouse. Microsoft employs over 20,000 professionals in India, over half of which work in Hyderabad. With the launch of the new building, Microsoft plans to hire another 4,800 employees. On this occasion, Microsoft also announced another landmark initiative in partnership with Govt of Telangana to impart AI training to over 1.2 lakh persons in the state. Under the first program ADVANTA(I)GE TELANGANA, Microsoft is launching an AI Foundations Academy to introduce AI education to 500 government schools benefiting 50,000 students. Additionally, the AI-Industry Pro program will upskill 20,000 industry professionals across Telangana. The third program AI-Govern initiative will further train 50,000 government officials in critical areas such as digital productivity, Generative AI, and cybersecurity. Also, Microsoft will establish and operate an AICoE in collaboration with the Government of Telangana and other stakeholders. This CoE will establish cloud-based infrastructure for AI development, including a centralized AI Knowledge Hub. This repository would compile research, case studies, and best practices benefiting thousands of employees across the state. To support the growth of AI, Microsoft has further announced doubling of its investments in hyperscale AI data centers in the state with an additional investment of INR 15,000 crore in the coming years. This will make Hyderabad region one of largest data hubs of Microsoft globally. These initiatives are in line with the CM’s priority to make Hyderabad an AI Hub in the country and complement the state’s initiative AI city and AI roadmap. An MoU encompassing all the above initiatives was signed between the company and the ITE&C department and exchanged in the presence of CM and IT Minister, and this is a direct outcome of the recent meeting between CM and Satya Nadella in January 2025, where they agreed to work closely to modernize government IT and cloud infrastructure and fast track the development and adoption of AI solutions. Congratulating Microsoft on the occasion, the CM remarked that, “Hyderabad and Microsoft have grown together, and as a proud representative of this state, I can say with certainty this is just the beginning. #Hyderabad : The #Google signed MoU with #Telangana Govt at T-Hub, in the presence of CM #RevanthReddy and IT minister #SridharBabu, to set up an #AI Accelerator in Hyderabad to support AI startups and accelerate development of AI solutions across sectors including Agriculture, Mobility, Education, Sustainability and governance. Google announced a strategic collaboration with the Government of Telangana on February 13, to harness the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the state. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims drive the development and implementation of AI solutions, focusing on key sectors-agriculture, mobility, education, sustainability, and governance-while fostering innovation, bridging the digital divide, and equipping the workforce with future-ready skills. The MoU exchange took place in the presence of CM Revanth Reddy and IT Minister Sridhar Babu, Government of Telangana, and Google Representatives Under this MoU, Google will partner with the Telangana government to develop AI-powered agricultural solutions to empower farmers and improve mobility via transit data integration and road information sharing. The partnership will also focus on AI skilling and upskilling programs, supporting digital learning ecosystems through Google for Education, and launching an Open Agriculture Network to connect farmers with essential resources. Furthermore, the collaboration aims to enhance open data access through Google's Data Commons platform, accelerate solar adoption using Google's Solar API and foster the startup ecosystem through accelerator programs. No Need for Panic about #BirdFlu (#AvianFlu), says #AndhraPradesh Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu. "Only 5.4 lakh #birds have died in the recent past, out of a total of 10.7 crore chickens across the state. The Rumours circulating on Social Media that over 40 lakhs chickens had died, are False", the Animal Husbandry Minister @katchannaidu said. "Badampudi village in Eluru district reported the death of 2.2 lakh chickens, Velpuru in West Godavari district 2.5 lakh chickens, Kanuru Agraharam in East Godavari district 65,000 and Gampalagudem in NTR district 7,000 chickens. All affected poultries were brought into a #RedZone and chicken shops within a radius of 10 km were shut", Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said. Eluru District Collector, K. Vetri Selvi, dismissed the rumours circulating on social media that a case of bird flu detected in a human in Eluru district. The government was taking all necessary precautions. Even eggs from affected poultry farms were being disposed of. Such outbreaks occur during lower temperatures. The government has shut down shops within a 10-km radius of the affected areas. He reassured the public that there was no cause for worry, as the disease would subside as temperatures rise. The Minister pointed out that poor sanitation in poultry farms was a contributing factor to the spread of the disease, noting that the State has over 100 million chickens, Minister said. The Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) are monitoring Avian Influenza (H5N1) in Andhra Pradesh following its recent outbreak in two villages in the Godavari region, officials said.

YSRCP ex-MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi arrested in #Hyderabad Former #Gannavaram MLA and #YSRCP leader #VallabhaneniVamsi has been arrested by the #AndhraPradesh Police. #Hyderabad : Police Bust Illegal Casino and Cockfighting Racket at Moinabad Farmhouse In a major crackdown, Rajendranagar police and Moinabad Police of @cyberabadpolice raided a #farmhouse in #Moinabad , uncovered an illegal #casino and #Cockfighting operation. A total of 64 people were arrested during the raid. Officials seized above ₹30 lakh in cash, 55 cars, and 86 betting roosters used for cockfighting. Additionally, a large quantity of poker chips and other gambling materials were confiscated from the site. The operation, allegedly run by a well-organized gang, had turned the farmhouse into a high-stakes gambling hub. #Telangana Government on Alert Over HPAI (#BirdFlu) Virus, Officials Are Turning Back #Poultry Vehicles coming from #AndhraPradesh Due to the outbreak of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (#HPAI), in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Govt has stepped up biosecurity moves to curb the spread of Bird Flu, by set up 24 check-posts along Telangana borders, to monitor the movement of Poultry vehicles and prevent transportation of sick birds. Police officials prevented the poultry vehicles coming from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana at Ramapuram check post at AP Telangana border and at Pullur Toll Plaza, Jogulamba Gadwal district... The Telangana Govt has issued a directive to all district collectors, highlighting the need for strict biosecurity measures to prevent the ingress and spread of HPAI. The alert follows a communication from the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India, which reported cases of HPAI in different states. Officials have reportedly stopped vehicles from Andhra Pradesh to ferry poultry into Telangana, following the directive. The directive, issued by Special Chief Secretary to Government Sabyasachi Ghosh, instructs district officials to raise awareness among poultry farmers, stakeholders, and the public about HPAI prevention. It highlights the critical role of biosecurity measures, particularly in preventing the transportation of sick birds and ensuring proper disposal of dead ones. Officials have been urged to report any unusual deaths of poultry to the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department for prompt action. A bird flu alert has been issued in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh after lab reports of several dead chickens at a poultry farm in Peravali mandal confirmed the presence of the Avian influenza virus (Bird Flu). Following the unusual deaths of chickens at a poultry farm in Kanuru village, Peravali mandal, Animal Husbandry authorities sent blood and stool samples of the dead chickens to the Bhopal-based National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases (NIHSAD) and labs in Pune for testing. The report confirmed the presence of the Avian Influenza virus among the poultry. All roads leading to Kanuru village have been closed. Steps have been taken to cull chickens within a one-kilometre radius of Kanuru village.
