@UTMedic1113 @LGHendersonUtah @IAFFofficial The bill allows for this. It explicitly says that nothing in the bill prevents a labor union from using public property "in the same manner and to the same extent as the public employer allows access to any other external individual or entity". #ReadtheBill

Thrilled to join with @Dennis_Porter_ to announce HB230 which will allow the state to invest in digital assets. While Utah is the 11th state to introduce similar legislation, we will be the first to pass it. Utah continues to lead the nation in blockchain and digital innovation!
BIG BREAKING: The state of Utah becomes the 11th state to see a 'Strategic Bitcoin Reserve' bill introduced. Thank you @jordanteuscher for your leadership.

@MarketDraft @Dennis_Porter_ In theory, but the bill only allows for the state treasurer to invest in digital assets that have a market cap over $500B. That only includes Bitcoin at this point.

The US Supreme Court has consistently ruled that the First Amendment does not require states to allow public sector collective bargaining. In Smith v. Arkansas State Highway Employees (1979), the Court clarified that while public employees have the right to associate and express their views, states are not obligated to engage in collective bargaining. HB267 aligns with this precedent and with similar laws in other states. HB267 does not delegitimize unions—it enhances transparency and ensures a clear separation between public resources and union activities, while fully respecting unions’ ability to advocate for their members. Public employees remain free to associate, organize, and express their views.

@Manhattva It only allows for investment in digital assets with a market cap over $500B. Currently that's only Bitcoin, but Ethereum is close at $417B.

Thanks Mayor Ramsey, and Council Members Johnson and Harris, for hosting a fantastic tour of South Jordan and showcasing some of the amazing initiatives happening in our city, including the impressive Pure SoJo Facility. South Jordan is truly leading the way in innovation!
Mayor Dawn Ramsey and Council Members Kathie Johnson and Patrick Harris took our legislators on a tour to various city locations, including the Pure SoJo Facility. We are truly appreciative of Representatives Doug Fiefia, Tracy Miller, and Jordan Teuscher for their time and effort in learning more about what’s happening in South Jordan.

Hal nailed it. BYU is special because it’s not just about academics—it’s about faith, values, & mission. It’s OK if it’s not the right fit for everyone. That’s what makes it unique. I’m so grateful for that environment and chance I had to study there. #BYU

@DLCampanile @BasedMikeLee @LincolnFillmore Under HB157 (2024), removing a child from their parents based on a disagreement with pronouns/gender identity is illegal. This is not what happened in this case. FWIU, this was a case of the foster family asking for the foster child to be removed due to being transgender.

Kalani Sitake's post-game speech after last week's intense rivalry game was inspiring. His focus on love, kindness, and being Christ-like is exactly the message our kids and our world need today. In a time where divisions are common, his words stand out as a beacon of unity and respect. I’m so proud to have Kalani as our coach—a true example for us all and stark contrast to what the world teaches. Thank you, Coach, for leading with faith and love. #loveoneanother #byufootball #gocougs

While there are still some ballots to be counted, with the latest updates from Salt Lake County, it’s clear we achieved a decisive victory! I want to extend my deepest gratitude to every voter who chose to reelect me to the Utah House. Knowing that you placed your trust in me to continue representing our community is a responsibility I take very personally, and I am honored to serve. I’m especially grateful to my friends, family, and colleagues who set aside time from their busy lives to walk neighborhoods, knock doors, and send words of encouragement. Running for office is not for the faint of heart, and the kindness and sacrifice shown by so many on my behalf is truly humbling. I’d also like to acknowledge and commend my opponent for stepping into the arena. Campaigns are demanding and exhaustive—not only for the candidate but for their family as well. They test not only our beliefs and policy ideas but also our personal character. It takes real courage to put yourself forward for public evaluation. While we may have had different viewpoints, I appreciate his participation in this important democratic process. As we move forward, I’m excited to continue working on behalf of our community and making Utah the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Thank you, everyone, for your incredible support!

I’m proud of Utah’s leadership in passing innovative social media protections for youth. These laws are bipartisan efforts that prioritize safety, privacy, and parental involvement. While Big Tech and some groups continue to challenge these protections, the progress we're making is undeniable. We’re standing firm to ensure that the voices of parents and families are heard, and our kids are safeguarded from harmful online environments. Read more about the ongoing legal battles and why Utah won’t back down.
A think tank known for reports on marriage issues was a driving force behind the spread of state laws restricting kids' access to social media.
