@bj_stansfield @DavidJKillick Not many people cross a river before you build a bridge Brad. You gotta build it before they'll come.

@bj_stansfield @DavidJKillick You obviously don't cycle with some of the drivers on the road.. or with kids

@forager_gareth But does it not make sense given the trajectory of renewables and the time frame of nuclear?

@Ryan_Posselt @rosstu Current business council would 100% vote against current Salamanca Market. Can you imagine "you can't close the road and take away all that parking from the hard working Salamanca business owners! How will anyone shop there?"

@LouiseBloomfld blocked the sandy bay bike lanes, blocked the battery point walkway and will now try to block the ferry. hmmm, i'm seeing a pattern.

@boronialinquest @cityofhobarttas Interesting to see Federal oppose on the basis of parking issues. Could easily solve by giving patrons free parking for a few hours and preventing commuters using it all day. Would have thought they'd love the extra business from tourists etc

@hobartstreets It's been on the plan forever and was going to be implemented but people complained so they went with the paint which is next to useless. The complainers feel justified because 'no one uses the bike lane'

Went to @FullersHobart this morning. Brilliant shop. There were 6 people in the shop and 2 in the cafe. NONE had arrived from adjacent on street carparks (all empty). Why are traders against the Collins St bike lane? a) don't really know their customers; b) #carbrain
