I never learnt to say no either and I still suffer. But it's the one thing I am making sure my little girl knows. It doesn't matter if she says no to me now. I'm happy she knows her mind and isn't afraid to stick to her view and her comfort.

On a lighter note: Once, I was stopped by the police for drunk driving and my car keys taken away. I kept on insisting I hadn't had a drop but no one believed me. Finally, a senior officer checked again. It was my hand sanitizer which was misleading the breathalyzer!

Very sad. While running on the footpath off Road no. 36, I ran into Manja 2 years ago. The Kite had gotten caught on the Metro station stairs and the Manja was tighly strung between the footpath barrier and the staircase. Luckily, I was wearing running jacket and that saved me.

Wow! Thanks for the reminder! I used to stay in Patna and have travelled all over Bihar and it used to make me a little sad. The people are warm, honest and hardworking. They deserve better governance and a better quality of life back home itself.

Not true. Though they got massive traction, none of the Indian apps were good enough. One of them was just white-labelled s/w. The magic of Tik Tok lies in its content recommendation engine. In a land without Tik Tok, the spoils went to the second best, i.e., Instagram Reels.

I don't know whether it's a good thing. This stuff is why girls start feeling limited in the first place. When our daughter was that age (up to 5, I think), we were very careful not to let her feel restricted in any way. She's older now and figured out how to take care.
