ATAGI may well recommend 3 doses to be fully vaccinated (I already have been recommending this to my patients). This does not mean we need to have universal mandates as the Premier is hinting, If booster does not prevent transmission then there is no logic behind mandates.

Our vaccine mandates have gone too far, an unvaccinated mum has sent her 9 yo into Officeworks today by themselves to buy something! Enough is enough @DanielAndrewsMP ! There is no science behind pushing for 100% vaccination. GPs in Wyndham have achieved 95%, that's our limit.

Health Minister said that masking kids in Grade 3-6 helps prevent transmission to vulnerable adults. I'm not sure I've seen any evidence of this and all vulnerable adults should be triple vaxxed by now.

We are living in a cruel heartless state. My 88 yo patient who has recovered from Covid (was vaccinated) with very very limited English, is in a rehab ward, not allowed visits by her fully vaccinated family. When I enquired, I was told it is due to the @VictorianCHO 's orders.

The blanket ban on everything but urgent procedures across all health services in Melbourne is lazy cruel illogical policy. The govt cannot come up with a list that applies everywhere e.g. some hospitals may need to redeploy day staff to wards. Leave it up to each facility!

Sadly I have to repeat this. RAT only confirm Covid, they do not exclude it. If you have symptoms stay home unless going to a testing centre or medical care (ring first) In current situation , symptoms = Covid (unless a health professional has a confirmed alternate diagnosis)
