@TomEvansCricket Subconscious bias exists. I do think Wenger’s teams suffered because they were seen as soft and European. And to redress it, Dennis Bergkamp got away with murder because he was so silky.

@TomEvansCricket The latter changes the sport and fans’ relationship with the sport. Like I said, there was a lot of talk on sensible Arsenal podcasts and forums about the danger of a dodgy red pre-match! This isn’t what we watch football for

@TomEvansCricket Finally, if you really do want to bring up Liverpool’s reaction to Diaz then at least compare it to the reaction to Arsenal v Brentford which was almost identical in that it was a genuine, if embarrassing, error (VAR forgot to draw lines)
