Friend shipped me a wafer and challenged me to identify the circuit. Any tips? Getting it on the scope soon so I’ll upload pics when I get those.

@byte_thrasher @yacineMTB First statement is very true. At a past employer we had a dedicated “lab coordinator” who did all the regular cleanups, and I miss that at smalltech because now it feels like I’m the only one who cleans up after themself.

@gizmobly For me it was very important to learn some ASM first (can be any ISA, it’s about fundamentals of comp arch.) Only then will you really appreciate what your compiler is doing and be able to learn to navigate it well.

@techhsiren Except when the tech lies only in the hands of the most powerful. We need to always maintain open source alternatives, even if the UX blows.

@gizmobly @basedmachina Yeah I’ve been slowly converting all my stuff to my proton email, but I think keeping the old “professional” gmail is going to be necessary for several more years. In proton you can also use custom domain
