I am 100% happy to watch you get really really rich doing something that I have no interest in doing. - @BrentBeshore.

@SMB_Attorney Listening to your Transitions episodes, I can’t imagine not donating to both Schoolcraft and Western Michigan. You can designate where the funds go. Pick a project or a scholarship, and help the next generation.

It amazes me how many people get on @AcquiringMinds_ after they’ve completed a transaction and don’t understand that sales growth is a use of cash. Also, always get a line of credit when completing a buyout.

I keep coming back to these slides from @BillDA at @MainStSummit. People love to quote revenue metrics. It’s also important to understand if you have a balance sheet issue or income statement issue.

In the words of @fortworthchris, I need to ask for customers. Looking to add a few more business owners to work with in 2025. Primary around building profitability targets, working capital needs, and cash flow forecasting. DMs are open.

@DerekKuns Andre Meyer used to do deals with a pencil and a legal pad. Finance is way more than modeling.

This is my heuristic for a private deal: Ask the sponsor what the tax adjusted cap rate is and if they don't know, you shouldn't do the deal. - @PinkPoloShorts.

I was really skeptical of listening to this, but this episode is phenomenal. I also think it goes back to Josh Kushner: If you don’t tell your own story, someone else will tell it for you.
If you want to know how to talk about your company—its product launches, in a crisis, or any other time—you call @lulumeservey. Sadly, her client roster is full. But, she publishes amazing writing on “going direct” that we can all use, and has share lots of her ideas here. Enjoy!

Almost everything positive in my life is simply from choosing to show up, and inviting people along the way!. @RandBusiness @Nick_Keesee @shirkeyd @SumeetChhawri.
Last night’s Detroit event is a case study. Of How free fun events can result in real value. How to make something out of nothing. Here’s 3 interesting things that happened last night. —. 1. I met a guy looking to invest in searchers who are acquiring manufacturing companies.

Just listened to @kelceylehrich give a masterclass in private market transactions. I obviously need to call him more often.

Just got back into Oxford. I immediately head for Krishna. There is a professor here, with probably 6 students. They’re discussing Lewis’s 4 loves, with a focus on Agape. Sometimes I really miss being in a college town. @miamiuniversity.

People are complex. That’s what makes them beautiful. This world would not be better if more people were like you. It would be that much more boring. @markbrooks | @MainStSummit.

Finished most of this today and Cyan continues to be one of the most fascinating people I’ve listened to. Are you awake, or are you going through the motions?.
“You’re just sleepwalking through life. And the moment you take the reins and you become the narrator of your own story, and sometimes the captain, then that’s when it’s a transformational change.”.— Cyan Banister (@cyantist) .
