Kudos to my former student @tylerrphillips for using his experiences and significant talents to register a well-written and reasoned objection in the House case!
Another interesting one from Tyler Phillips -- a former Arkansas football preferred walk-on turned lawyer -- who objects both to the exclusion of PWOs from the BNIL damages classes and to the inclusion of roster limits in the settlement.

Enjoyed the opportunity to share some of my recent scholarship through this unique outlet!
College athletics is changing rapidly for athletes. Josh Lens, associate professor of instruction of sport and recreation management at @uiowa, explains how.

@samcehrlich over here doing those of us teaching sports law, NIL, etc. courses the biggest favor by identifying & summarizing this info!
Nine more objections (and counting -- I'll update this thread if/when more are filed) have been filed to the House settlement docket this morning.

Seems like a good time to share my forthcoming @BYULRev piece on the likelihood of a school suing another school or its collective after an athlete transfers:
STATEMENT from Wisconsin, which says it has “credible information” that Miami had impermissible contact with DB Xavier Lucas and that the Badgers “will evaluate all options going forward to determine the appropriate course of action.”

The data unequivocally shows the NCAA has significantly increased enforcement actions against "tampering" coaches in the portal era. Obviously more is needed *if* NCAA continues to attempt to enforce anti-tampering rules - see draft of a current project:
A simple note to the schools and coaches that have blatantly broken @NCAAFootball rules by tampering with our players in the last 24 hours. We do know who you are, we will pursue all avenues to hold you accountable. We are excited that we’ve built a program where coaches have to cheat to beat us and we will protect that program. Think hard before you tamper with our players. #justgettingstarted
