The warm, dry trend has settled in and will last for the extended forecast. Tampa's climate normal for this time of year is 54°/73°. Our highs will hover around 8-10 degrees above average all the way into next weekend. We also need some rain, but rain chances are very low through the next 10 days. Much of the area is in a moderate drought and it looks like we're front free through next week.

A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for tonight due to Fog moving back into the Bay area. It will push inland overnight and be thickest for the Friday morning commute. Prepare for a slower than normal morning commute so plan for extra time and remember to slow down and allow extra space between cars. Stay safe!

A perfect evening to head out and watch the Bolts take on the Senators. Comfortable in Thunder Alley at 5pm with lots of sun and upper 70s. When you walk out of Amalie Arena later in the evening, the temperatures will still be in the mid 60s!

Perfect Thursday afternoon around the Bay area, especially along the Gulf! St. Pete Beach is looking amazing with temps in the upper 70s, some inland are already in the 80s. This warm, dry pattern will last at least through the weekend, enjoy!

It's day 2 of Severe Weather Awareness Week in Florida and today's topic is Marine Hazards/Rip Currents. Did you know that Rip Currents take more lives in Florida than all other hazards...combined? Do you know how to spot a Rip Current? Look for a narrow gap of darker, seemingly calmer water flanked by areas of breaking waves and whitewater.
