My mother was affected in hospice by the DEA-caused oxycontin shortage. The Vioxx death numbers were "hidden deaths" bc they occured mostly among the elderly disguised as strokes, aneurisms, and etc. They'll never truly know how many died. Some say as high as 200K

@Karin53026923 @RQELLC @keatingssixth Same here. They told me they called "pain meds" into pharmacy after dental surgery. When I picked it up it turned out to be ibuprofen. I didn't sleep for three days. Learned my lesson there - I will always be confirming pain care and pharmacy pickup before ANY surgery/procedure.
