The Sea of Clouds is out today! It follows on the events of Black Sails to Sunward, with new adventures for Lucy and Moira, new challenges for their relationship, and new hope for the oppressed of Mars.

@IKStokbaek I'm guessing you will not be selling that one with a fun little scratch n sniff or a scented candle 🤣 The main smells mentioned in my book are sewage, algae, sweat, farts, yeast, and rocket fuel. But I decided to stick with the few NICE smells mentioned.

@Siennafrst It is amazing to me the way ESL writers use English. Even when it has mistakes, it's often so evocative and never cliché. The ideal, of course, is to have a great copyeditor who fixes the mistakes without removing the music of the way you speak.

@rosalynbelles Blame the industry, they rarely buy a series, they buy a book, then if it does well they suddenly want it to be a series. So you have to deal with trying to write a book that could be either a standalone or a series 😭

@moniza_hossain Right like you CAN'T pitch a series. You have to pitch a standalone and then as an afterthought mention that there COULD be more books maybe, but no worries if not, it can totally stand alone too. Which is awkward because those aren't the same kind of book!
