@travelingenes I bought soda, cake mix, cookies, ice cream, and juice boxes for my son’s birthday party when I was on benefits and I support every EBT recipient’s right to do the same. Taking the dignity of choice from the working poor is not a way to make this nation healthier.

@JenniferDo73235 @travelingenes Canned and frozen foods are cheaper and last longer, SNAP recipients need to consider things like this. Not everyone has a functional cooking space or the ability to prep and store produce and meats. All of the foods you listed are already available, why take anything away?

@jzux We drove by a chubby woman jogging, for what looked like the first time, wearing ankle weights. My 7yo son laughed so hard he sobbed and then threw up in the car. My kids still try to mimic her run sometimes and it’s been 3 years.
