Biggest announcement regarding the Steven Universe movie is that I'm also a composer! I was able to flex my orchestra muscles in the intro music, and produce a number of emotional cues used in the film with assistance from many amazingly talented home-recording musicians.

Credits lists always have composers at the very bottom but they should actually be near the top because music does a ton of heavily lifting. It’s a huge game-changing responsibility to craft it in what is usually an impossibly short amount of production time right before launch.

Something I love about Zelda music is that, even with modern tech and orchestras, it’s still generally written so it could fit within a five note max polyphony, which was what the NES could handle. It’s like Zelda music is backwards compatible.

Home recording pro tip for strings: If you’re multi-tracking using the same instrument but want it to sound more organic like a real string section, use bits of modeling clay on different parts of the bridge to give the instrument a slightly different color for each track.

My parents think “Antifa” somehow appeared within the Trump supporters, and that “Antifa” are the ones who stormed the capitol and rioted. They believe Trump supporters wouldn’t do that. Also they want to just sit back and just pay their taxes because this is all God’s plan.
