The ”personal sacrifice” frame will come up again and again this cycle, whenever climate Qs are asked in debates; and in stories about Dem climate plans and GOP efforts to ridicule those efforts by exaggerating the amount of sacrifice consumers will suffer. It’s a trap. /END

Record-breaking heat waves made CA rivers too warm to sustain migrating chinook salmon. Virtually all of the salmon in the Sacramento River have died – or will soon – before they lay their eggs to reproduce. A generation of the rare Chinook salmon is virtually gone. /7
