Penultimate prize and the last football( ish ) one ( yes my English teach
@StModansHS
would be proud of my big word,
@tinychanges
for donation if everyone doesn’t have fatigue yet. No idea why I was on the bench 😡 all you gotta do is like the tweet
Must be from a testimonial v hearts has a number three on back, anyone not bored with me telling you the rules nothing to enter just like the tweet I will pick a winner,
@tinychanges
for a donation would be mwah !! mwah !! Not easy for people just now so no obligation at all
Ok last one for the evening you know the crack by now like the tweet to have a chance to win it support for
@tinychanges
optional but welcome. Not sure I have the bottoms but maybe 🤷🏼♂️ nice embroidered badge
A wise man said to me the best thing you can ever give is your time, to win a day with a Hearts Legend at the magnificent
@archerfieldgolf
two guests food drink golf and chat ! No entry fee donate
@tinychanges
if you can oh and I will partner the Hearts Legend Robbo
Ahh that was great 🇺🇸 Now on with the mundane this was from my time on Wearside if you want to donate
@tinychanges
, when I arrived at Roker Park I was given this gorge shell suit obviously a leftover from the club’s trip to Wembley a few months prior, to enter like this tweet
Everyone warned me against Twitter but it has been a really lovely and decent place to me. Thanks to everyone who has read my tosh and engaged with me on here it has been a real pleasure for me. I hope we all have a more stable and enjoyable 2022
An Edinburgh Derby day in the rain one of the few days of the year I miss playing football, I loved the anticipation, a stadium filled with love &hate for us I felt like a modern gladiator in the coliseum trying to earn the 👍 from our fans defeat unthinkable, victory so sweet ♥️
Fabulous Friday Friends Fidra
@archerfieldgolf
catch up with Robbo today from 11 am at Topping Bookstore in Blenheim Place Edinburgh for a book signing session ps thanks to Miss O’Hare my English teacher
@StModansHS
for my love of alliteration 😊
Hi bear with me don’t know how I ended up here but Twitter has been a good place to me so far maybe time to do something nice, over the next few days I will give away some little bits and pieces. Not sure how it will work but I am told there are randomisers to pick the winners
This is from Zico testimonial but has no number on the back 🤷🏼♂️ just like this tweet to enter if you want to donate anything but there is no need as we live in tough times JC
I must have been in the squad but another I didn’t get stripped 🙄 Celtic fans like tweet to enter as I don’t want to exclude anyone winning(my tat according to
@Harpo45
😁) however I am asking if you can afford anything can you donate to
@tinychanges
a mental health charity
Right, as every interview from a managers whose team has just been pumped says “ We go again “ (as a pose to not going again ?🤷🏼♂️) my training sweatshirt from days gone by ! Don’t worry guys not too many left 😂
@tinychanges
donations or awareness are both great ! Just like tweet
Sliding Doors of life Stephen but every part of my career was amazing, more than any young boy from the mean streets of Stirling could have dreamt of. ! But oh to be as fit and healthy looking as that again even for just for one day
John Colquhoun pictured at Ibrox in 1984 for Celtic. Sorry that John left just before Davie Provan took ill and retired as he would have been an ideal replacement.
@jckeysport7
So happy to be invited by Robbo to the launch of his book on 4th November what a brilliant player There is a special bond with players you shared great and tough times with on the field, much brotherly love to my wee pal I hope the book is a smash
Football books are usually an easy read for me, not this one. Fans have a lifelong emotional investment in their club but underestimate the hurt players carry and share with them Robbo has had his pain and joy shares both, the last chapter perfectly sums up being a player ❤️
@Highland__paddy
Dreamt of wearing the hoops from the age of 7 it happened v Dundee United in front of Danny McGrain and the jungle, no one can take it away from me that I wore them and didn’t embarrass those hoops my sliding door meant I went on to live out dreams I never had as a boy 💚❤️
Not sure if anyone is interested in useless momento’s footballers got but found this in a box. I was on the bench ( obviously) my recollection was that it was a frosty, freezing night in Belgium, I think it was 0-0 It was my first European game and I loved every one I played in
Sometimes you felt like the whole game was in your hands, if you were on your game, your crowd with you and seeing everything a fraction quicker than defenders, GIVE ME THE BALL GIVE ME IT ! So you gave a little more so here is a little more
Thanks to everyone that I have interacted with on here X gets a bad rep but it has brought me only positive vibes. I have seen goals that I couldn’t remember, met people who are now great friends been sent music that isn’t out yet. Peace, Love and Thanks to everyone of you ♥️
Not for any comp but it might be interesting to some people and I think is very cool Bayern Munich’s Klaus Augenthaler shirt from THAT game. Simple, classy and top quality just like the player I swapped it with. What a footballer.
At the unveiling of my friend Pilmar’s plaque in the garden the curator of museum told me they had footage of my dad playing for Stirling Albion in against Hearts we watched it and they sent me the clip I had never ever seen. My dad died in 96 The club keeps giving to me ♥️
Sean and the NB crew making sure a true Hearts Legend’s spirit is at the game. My wee pal Pilmar would have loved today, sun shining, his beloved Hearts at Hampden in a final and going to the game with his fellow Jambos ❤️
The Hat and I a great player but also really decent man, one of the best moments of my career after I scored pre season against Pat Jennings post game we were in Panama Jax( who remembers there )he told me he would love to score a goal like that Paul McF***ingStay said that to me
I should really start an account titled “ Stuff that old pros have they forgot about” found this gift from
@FCBayernEN
from our game in 1989, I had never opened the box until now, as the bitter taste of defeat has melted a little now it is pretty cool
I savoured every one of my derby victories and was devastated by those losses anyone involved in a derby that says it is just another game or three points should be barred from ever being involved in one except if it is a way to control emotions it is NOT just another game
Continuing the derby Build up here is a shirt belonging to a man who know all about Derby victories
@JamTarts
@jckeysport7
played 37 lost 7 😍 spectacular goals at Easter Road
@AroundTheFunnel
Thank you for taking the time to write that it means a lot I hope this generation have their own heroes who remember that wearing the famous maroon brings a responsibility to give everything in every game they play. My experience is that jambos will forgive a lot if you do that
@jckeysport7
No real point to this tweet other than to say you were a hero in maroon, one of the greatest Jambos in my life time! Something I hope the next generation never forget! Have a good night! Gorgie Rule! 🇱🇻
I really hope so Ross best advice I can give
@JoshGinnelly7
is try your bollocks off every time you pull a maroon jersey on, it’s the bare minimum for custodians of it. Do that and
@JamTarts
fans will love and support you even when you are older fatter and grey. Good Luck ♥️
@Amoruso1998
Thanks Scott for posting. I haven’t seen a couple of those goals. Thanks to every Jambo for the love for me on here today and always. I am proud to have worn the Maroon jersey ❤️
Story about that game Martin Keown was playing for Everton Joe Jordan was our gaffer, Martin left a bit on Joe, Joe was raging came over to me and said hang one up in the box. I did what the boss commanded and next thing Martin Keown was mysteriously sparked out in a testimonial
To the untrained eye this might have looked like a goalkeeping faux pas from the big Yorkshireman but the amount of spin I put on the ball was similar to Roberto Carlos’ free kick against France that bent at a right angle I just had the ability to put more disguise on it 😀
IT IS SHELL SUIT DAY first up from my Millwall season this rather fetching Spall suit was for match days. If you would like to win it just like the tweet no obligation but if you would like to help a charity close to my heart this is the one
There are different ways to judge success mine hasn’t always been in financial terms so I am taking as a win seeing my first ever retail product( I am a co-founder ) The Gem, a golf training aid, being discussed on the range at Augusta National by two green jacket holders
Just a reminder that no-mark, former Hibs reserve Jimmy Incel still has double the number of followers that the real John Colquhoun does.
This offends natural justice and must be remedied
David I know people maybe think I am insincere when I say these things but that really means a lot to me, as a player I could never hoped to have the made such an impact on fans that I am only now realising I had. It makes me quite emotional at times
@jckeysport7
I wish to say nothing more than you were my hero. Shirt in the front, out the back, wore it same at school. Bayern Munich. Goal v celtic, Hibs etc So many memories. Even now at sorry 38 years old, JC is my hero. So many happy memories. Thank you for my childhood
Draw for the golf with the Legend and I coming up although I am very unhappy with the current situation
@ICTFC
, the fix is in😉Making JR sign over 7k tickets is a blatant attempt to kill my man's swing for golf this year. Another Scottish football scandal Well Done to All🙌
Thanks Stephen, I don’t know if this egotistical( I believe most footballers have to have a big ego to balance our insecurities ) but I love that picture. There is genuine joy in my body language
It won’t all be Hearts stuff but if you want to enter please like the tweet then 14 days later I will announce the winner and send it off when the post office queue is small. So ....
@JamTarts
In a career full of hugely enjoyable games, this was a highlight. A filthy smelly beautiful night. The best atmosphere V a good Spanish team away from the repetitiveness of the league. A couple of days in North Berwick to prepare and a great victory. My ❤️ swells thinking of it
I am sad, Diego lit up my world in my adolescence and beyond. In a world with very little good news that wee man made people who love football smile and will continue to do so when we watch the clips of him. The Best
What a night ! Fans inspired Players, Players inspired Fans, that was a winning formula back then. A lot of things in the world have changed but that has not !
@Hearts_Heritage
@dshirlaw
@JamTarts
Love being on this list and I know this; no one enjoyed their goals more than I did. I had so much joy from them at the time which I probably took for granted but almost four decades on I love the feelings they evoke in me and I am comfortable now that it isn’t ( just ) ego !!
Sometimes you find a pot of gold at the bottom of the rainbow, sometime you find
@JamTarts
greatest ever goal scorer ! Great to see my old mucker Robbo
@archerfieldgolf
this evening with
@AndrewWrightSGL
Great friends, fantastically conditioned golf course I love golf
You have all made tiny changes in a huge way, this is a beautiful little package that will have an impact beyond this game, I love
@FRabbits
@tinychanges
@JamTarts
and FOOTBALL
Results and allegiances aside, what happened tonight on BBC One Scotland before one of the biggest matches of the footballing year was massive. Players, managers and my brother talking about mental health openly and honestly. Bravo
@tinychanges
@_Bands_FC
and
@JamTarts
x
@heartsshirts
@JamTarts
I have never seen this picture before but it says a lot to me about those times, relief, joy and friendship. The best of times ♥️
It was a privilege to speak at the naming of a sports pavilion to my old pal Pilmar Smith in North Berwick. Thanks to
@ELCouncil
for funding ,building and then naming it after a man who loved football, young people and North Berwick. A fitting tribute to a great man
We lived in Oldham when my mum was pregnant with me and at that time you had to be born in a country to play for it so my mum took a tortuous eight hour journey to Stirling to have me so I could play for Scotland, that is true vision and why Mums Rock ♥️
Hi Liz, I was speaking with Pasquale yesterday and anyone that saw him play when those mad eyes appeared should know that there is no way I am telling any stories about Mr Bruno 😬
It is finally time.... with the Scottish government travel restrictions lifted and the thumbs up from the best Hearts player of my era, we are good to go with the draw for the day of golf with Robbo and I to take place at the magnificent
@archerfieldgolf
for 2 people is coming up
Thanks for all the love, great messages and intros to great new music throughout 2022 on Twitter. Love to everyone that I have interacted with and best wishes to everyone for 2023 ❤️
Emotion with the Rose putt on 18th last night and with the unveiling of the Seve tifo this morning, only serves to reminds me why I love live sport so much
What a hero!
I could listen to this man talk about Hearts all day, everyday. We will never see the likes of him again.
The Ace of Hearts. The Hammer of Hibs. The fat striker.
🇱🇻♥️🇱🇻
If not I will stick a pin in any enterants I don’t believe ability to pay should be a barrier to entry be that healthcare, education or my crappy little Twitter comp but if you feel like giving something would be a great place
The Bass Rock looking even more magnificent than usual from the first green of the West Links
@NorthBerwick_GC
last night. The golf is always fun but sometimes you just have to drink in what is around you.
The joy and relief of a goal in any game is a pleasure that is hard to describe and in a big game that means so much to so many people the afterglow lasts a beautifully long time
I remember the goal well but more I remember Sandy Clark grabbing me and stopping me from running to the Celtic dugout to celebrate because I had been jettisoned by them. I was emotional he was experienced he was right I was wrong 🙄
@jckeysport7
I was 8 years old when I saw you play for hearts against Celtic in the first game of the season. Can't remember the goal but remember vividly you bombing down the wing and terrorising them and me going home trying to copy you at night with my shirt hanging out 😂😂
A little bonus draw will take place for this from Chuck’s testimonial and as a double bonus there are foxy shorts in the same pattern to go with it 😱 I will enter previous entrants in the comp so I need to do anything else
839 on a Friday morning nine holes done
@NorthBerwick_GC
, beautiful back nine to come, there must be a better place to be right now I just can’t think of where 🤷🏼♂️
Pah ! Beating me in the air is like boasting that you could beat Mickey Mouse in a quacking competition, if it was about heading we would have called it headball not football 😙
Thank you I loved that goal and loved the feeling of scoring it even more It is hard to explain the joy of scoring, I felt it was two parter firstly I got the adrenaline of the act and then the rush of love from our fans. It was really a beautiful thing.
@JohnMillar614
I agree Johnny it was a truly memorable day the release of relief and joy when Fozzie scored (and maybe a tiny wee bit of surprise that the pride of Bolton had finished a 1v1 with the goalie 😱 ) Hope you are well
@jckeysport7
The word legend gets used too easily these day’s but without doubt Jc was one. Was just unplayable on his day. Growing up watching him was a privilege. His goal against hibs in 93 is still one of the best I’ve ever seen
@AboutScotlandd
If this is me can I have the question changed to “ This player was lucky and very proud to have played for Scotland twice rather than only ever played “ thank you 😊
A week to the launch of my mate’s book, I thought I should order it so he didn’t think I was a cheapskate. Not a fan of hardbacks since I stopped doing the speedball in Brown’s gym at Tynie in the 80’s but exceptions have to be made. If you can afford it
Well that is a ( football ) wrap everyone. Thanks so much to everyone who has engaged, donated or looked up
@tinychanges
I hope there was some fun, I have been overwhelmed by the interest in my little comps. I wish I could give to everyone ♥️
This makes me physically sad Jonathan, John has the potential to be a top centre back but that is not the worst thing I know the family and they are really good people and John is a thoroughly decent human being which is more than important than being a top footballer
Appreciate that but I don’t look back wondering what might have been more money would have been nice but when I was on the training pitch or playing in a game I couldn’t have been any happier every work day was a pleasure and it never actually felt like work .
@jckeysport7
Where you gonna congratulate them on pipping heart's for the title?
Dinny kid yerself on that you thought that you could actually win it !
#bottleditasusual
😂😂😂😂 maybe but was probably more about wanting to live in a society where the strongest looked after the weakest and most vulnerable where everyone had the same right to education to allow themselves to fulfill their potential (dang I was doing so good not getting political)
Maybe the most amazing
@_Bands_FC
thing ever.
Heart of Midlothian (
@JamTarts
) players will run out in our
@FRabbits
shirts at their Scottish Cup semi final again
@HibernianFC
on Saturday. The club will then auction the shirts to raise funds for
@tinychanges
Alex understood human nature. If you gave him everything he would go to war for you. Never confused us he made a simple game very simple, JC get crosses in, Zico defend and kick people, Chuck win the ball , Gary create, Robbo score goals, Blackie annoy the fans for no reason 😂
Thanks Graeme, strangely when I started out I wasn’t a winger but Celtic converted me.
second only to scoring is the feeling of getting the ball wide hearing a crackle of excitement from the fans as you face up to a defender and going past him. A beautiful feeling
Who is the Hearts player you remember that you loved watching and got you off your seat? Mine was John Colquhoun he was just brilliant to watch. Also loved Juanjo who I think was very under rated 😁
@Amoruso1998
What a brilliant night everything I loved about playing for Hearts is encapsulated in that clip, the weather, the strip, the darkness, the Euro nights, the boys and the crowd, my goodness the crowd …. roaring us on and then the explosion of joy when the goal went in ❤️
