Lacking data about what is happening to our climate, we risk stumbling into devastating feedback loops. So it's incredibly important that @SarahBohndiek and @GemmaBale at @ARIA_research are developing an early warning system for the planet.
Our latest programme thesis, ‘Forecasting Tipping Points’ led by PDs @GemmaBale and @SarahBohndiek, sets out a vision for developing an early warning system to predict when a climate system will tip, the potential consequences, and over what timescales they will unfold. 1/4
