@jimodonnell2 Yep. Apparently, earlier, the flames were getting close to the road and traffic was gridlocked. People just panicked and ran. (LAFD says if you DO have to abandon your car, leave the keys. #ProTip.)

Thank god someone will be there to shoot at the fire
Today is a good day to remember, last year LA City Council approved the mayor’s budget to cut $23 million from the LA Fire Dept as well as cuts to many other departments, so they could give the LAPD a $138 million increase even though crime has decreased and there’s fewer cops.
