When I first encountered St Seraphim's relics, I was put at odds with myself because of the smell of roses. I thought it must've been silly and that I imagined it. Later, I read his Life and discovered this happened at his burial as well.

All of the lumber is rough hewn and the icons could tell many stories. It reminded me of my patron’s, St John the Wonderworker’s, St Tichon’s Church in SF.
