I took my 1st child all the way to Israel on a trade mission. During a meeting I heard cheering out in the waiting area .... Yup, staff and husband and assorted strangers saw her 1st steps. It all turns out okay.

One of the many things my farmer husband taught me to notice was how the Sunrise & set moves on the horizon as seasons progress. I often frustrated him with my fast paced days & he tried to get me to slowdown to appreciate the natural beauty. Funny that grief has me slowed down.

Since leaving public office I have frequently told my pvt sector colleagues of the dedication & intellect of so many I worked with in MA govt. Work I am doing now reinforces that. So many challenges but 2 am emails from public sector colleagues defy the stereotypes.

RIP. Meeting and campaigning with Mrs McCain was some of the best fun you could ever hope to have. She asked my dad at the 2008 GOP Convention where she could buy some weed. True story.
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my wonderful Mother In-law, Roberta McCain. I couldn’t have asked for a better role model or a better friend. She joins her husband Jack, her son John and daughter Sandy.
