Progress *IS* possible for both increasing achievement and closing gaps. In 2009, the gap in grade 4 reading between higher- and lower-performing students narrowed, compared to 2000. How can we get back to closing gaps? #NAEP24

For about a decade, average math and reading scores have been on the decline. The new 2024 data show gaps grew between higher-performing and lower-performing students, a trend that has persisted for more than a decade. #NAEP24
