Music shop Rough Trade will be opening its biggest ever UK store in Liverpool this year. The shop, which is hiring now, will include space for gigs and a bar/cafe area

SOS led the fight against Hicks & Gillette and FSG’s worst ideas. They have a formal working role with the club via the supporters board. They’re a supporters union - exactly the type of group who should have a say in the new ownership.

. Parents and teachers have claimed an academy trust runs several Liverpool schools 'like a prison' where kids are put in detention for not having the right ruler and other minor offences
Aynit has followed Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool every step of the way with his two children. When he saw his hero yesterday, he knew exactly what to tell him 🔴

Major Project, I wanted to discuss fan disorder in men's football as a societal issue, rather than merely a football one.
For the first piece, I took a look at the history of English football hooliganism.
It was great to work with

Not many Liverpool fans can say they met Bill Shankly and Jurgen Klopp, but Garry Renshaw could. It was an honour to learn about his extraordinary life from his brother. Rest in peace Garry ❤️

Adam Williams does not stock disposable vapes in his shop. But he thinks banning them would be a grave mistake.
I was out on the streets of Liverpool this morning as the city discovered that Jurgen Klopp would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Don’t know how I got through this tbh
On this day last year, the Super League was beginning to collapse. Looking back on developments since then, have the politics and economics of football shifted in any significant way?

City and Bournemouth the only games we’ve played well for 75+ minutes. In the other victories we’ve only done well in short spells and could have easily dropped points
Fun things you find in the loft: my dad (middle right) winning Vauxhall Motors FC player of the year, with Tony Woodley (far right) who was a union rep for workers in the car factory across the road. He would later become General Secretary of Unite
So sad. Bernard Hill’s portrayal of Yosser resonated so much with those who lived in Liverpool during the 80s as unemployment skyrocketed. Those Scousers ensured him and Yosser would never be forgotten long after the show finished. RIP
Watched some old Doctor Who last night. Amazing how in 2008 it predicted the rise of fascism, multiple apocalyptic events across 1 year and... zoom calls
A lovely chat with

My dad watched Italy v Czech Republic at Anfield during Euro 96 - it's mad that Liverpool hasn't hosted a major football final and tournament since. After Eurovision, there's a stronger case than ever for big events here
Said this before but my great grandad Martin was part of the Invergordon Mutiny, a navy strike against proposed pay cuts. The mutiny was so damaging it took Britain off the Gold Standard. His punishment for striking was 6 months hard labour in Barlinnie prison. What a hero.

Very happy to support this statement. Each day Labour moves towards appeasing people who are opposed to all our principles and will never vote for us anyway. Is representing tenants, not landlords, too much to ask?
We are dismayed at the party’s revised policy on rent. The Labour Party should be representing and amplifying the demands of those in the private rented sector, not ignoring them and capitulating instead to landlords. Rent should be cancelled, not deferred.
