@baddestmamajama
I would not disagree with you except for writing I’ve seen from Black women pointing out that the only time that male-female protagonist pairs do seem to end up as “just friends”” is when the woman is Black.
"Those are the eyes of a good guy" you've known him for 3 minutes and he's done nothing but lie hide shit act secretive try to scam you pick a fight with your driver and wave around 53 different red flags Vash you're so embarrassing get up
@sigmascat
fiction cannot be illegal. however you are always within your rights to dislike any kind of fiction for any or no reason and mute/block as you see fit. hope this helps
YES it sound sweet to have Wolfwood be like “I’m not afraid of you” but the thing is, he IS afraid of him, of what he is & what he can do—and he stays by his side anyway. He dies entrusting his life’s purpose, protecting the orphanage, to Vash anyway.
I'm begging people to appreciate how funny Vincent is. The drama. 'no I'm not a vampire I was just resting in this coffin'. "Where can I buy a cell phone?" the entirety of Dirge of Cerberus. love this goth nerd
@budgorj1
What he fails to grasp here is that none of these statements from men to women are genuine compliments in our cultural climate, but carry a subtext of condescension and objectification.
@_salutdamour_
Not liking it is fine. Threats & harassment are not. If you don’t wanna see something on here, the appropriate response is to mute/block.
also wild to ship kniveswood with “KV DNI” in your bio as if Vash isn’t inevitably always kind of hovering in the middle of them regardless of whether or not he’s physically there
You don't have to LIKE the fact that Trigun has rape metaphors or Devil May Cry is full of incestuous overtones, but you don't get to call the rest of us perverts or delusional or whatever because we understand metaphor

So what I’m taking away from this is you want other people to get kicked out of the zine for art they’ve made that has nothing to do with the project?
So I've been thinking about how to put this, and here's my stance: you absolutely have the right to be squicked out by anything in fiction and avoid works on that basis. But if you read/watch a piece and choose to ignore particular themes because they make you uncomfortable--
might have said this on here before but one of the best things about Vergil is that he doesn’t know what he’s doing, either. He canonically does not want to rule the world, his plan is basically
1) Achieve Power
2) sit there with power, feeling secure
I’m still laughing about “TsengRu is Asian fetishism becuase Tseng is submissive and passive” while like 90% of us are like “Tseng pins Rufus down, consensually chokes him and fucks him senseless”
@philaheather
people who have never had to rely on a social safety net just have this idea that there is an Organization that Fixes Problems extends to sooooo many issues tbqh
“Vergil hates Eva” is a take that has never vibes with me and never will... a major driving force of Vergil‘s psychology is guilt for his failure to protect Eva and Dante. he’s deeply jealous of what he saw as her favoring Dante over him
@richardsiken
I think that what the quote means to a lot of people is that the grief of loss is bearable because it comes from the fact that love existed. The memory of love makes it worth enduring. Thanks for sharing your thoughts & advice on here even though people are jerks sometimes.
the big difference between Dante and Vergil (well, one of them) is that Dante makes impulsive mistakes because he didn't think things through whereas Vergil will thoughtfully and carefully consider all of the options and then choose the absolute worst possible one
