@AlexanderRKlotz Successful nerd-snipe...here's a faster version. Most of the time was spent doing addition, so I coached chatGPT to reduce additions. It's 20x faster, but I guess floating point addition is just slow and MATLAB has some wizardry going on.

@Quasilocal @j_bertolotti …but they’re not equally likely here. Surely a toss of point particles will tend to a ~normal unimodal distribution when they settle. If that’s the case, Bob’s picture fits that prior much better. The probs are equal iff the arrangement is truly random, not tossed.

The point being: of course scientists care about fraud. But testing it (point 1), detecting it (point 2), and debating it (point 3) are all orders of magnitude harder than in video games. If only we had TAS for biology!
