Introducing the new Ireland Women's Captain - Sarah Hawkshaw ☘️ We are delighted to announce that Sarah Hawkshaw has been named the new captain of the Ireland Women's Team. Since making here senior debut in 2019 Sarah has been a crucial figure in the team, and brings a wealth of experience to the role, including appearances at the Tokyo Olympic Games, multiple EuroHockey Championships and FIH Hockey Nations Cups, and a World Cup. Following the decision, Head Coach Gareth Grundie said: "Sarah Hawkshaw leads by example but also embodies the values and spirit of the team. She brings a wealth of experience to the role. She has consistently performed at the highest level and has demonstrated exceptional professionalism both on and off the field."
