OpenAI's redesign is not only so bad, the font sucks etc (tho I get why they want to further center ChatGPT) but it's all really unfortunate because its previous version was one of the most beautiful websites of all time.

Again re a tweet yesterday I don’t think this matters to any regular consumer at all. But it’s such a low hanging fix, people are correctly pissed at how careless OAI is as a product org (especially if they have the best model)

@Suhail I don’t think this matters at all to anyone not on twitter. Model selection is however (especially for vision) getting confusing for developers. This suggests model routers are probably better tooling than I thought (but we also are close to AGI so I get the labs strategy)

I am disillusioned with color. Modern design over saturates. Originality comes from form, moving space, and silhouettes. When you're done you can rediscover patinas. Lost the original tweet (iirc it's @benhylak)—but yes it feels spiritually correct to prototype in grayscale.
