A hard few days. Hard saying goodbye to Henry after such a brief life, harder watching him in so much pain despite maximum pain relief. 2021 worse than 2020 in so many ways. Tyson and Henry now hopefully running together on a beach with an endless supply of 🥓 and no pain!

I am the child and grandchild of immigrants to 🇦🇺who did not speak English when they arrived. They did speak minimum 5 languages before English. Willingness to grow, change, learn a language should be a marker of positive contribution to society, not the opposite! C’mon 🇦🇺.

I am an obstetrician gynaecologist & medical educator. I’m triple vaccinated. I also have several health issues including idiopathic anaphylaxis so had some extra hurdles getting vaccine. I did everything I could to make it happen to protect myself, family, patients & community.

This little lady is a Tasmanian Pygmy Possum!. She was rescued via our 24hr wildlife rescue hotline. Our vet team gave her a full health examination under a general anesthetic and luckily she only had some very minor injuries and is expected to recover fully. #bonorong

Best part about being vaccinated @TheRMH is the wonderful nurse who gave me both dose 1 💉AND just happened to be here today for dose 2 💉so I didn’t have to go through my complicated medical history again and wasn’t remotely phased by it. No epipen needed and very relieved!!

Long walk today to dog beach. This happens to be the beach Henry loved running on and the beach my vet kindly came to put Tyson down in 2017. Moody clouds and sadness but overall ok and know they’re off running together somewhere. Lots heavy right now but outdoors is my solace 💜

Post-op after a fairly tumultuous few weeks. Oral surgery that became a little more complex and fraught to plan than it should’ve been thanks to my immune system but went ok. Please don’t discount the patient voice 🙏🏽Now doing well. Surrounded by love and gorgeous flowers 💜

Today is my grandfather’s consecration. His tombstone is laid & we will share our memories of a decent, joyful, peaceful loving man who easily could have been consumed by bitterness & hate. A long life truly well lived. I know he lives on in every person he loved. Pace e gioia.
