Noel, she truly was. No one can understand what it was like here during Covid. We felt safe. We got on with our lives, we partied a lot. Because she brought us all together with one purpose. NZ totally rocks and she did an amazing job.

I voted for John Key and my local Nat MP. I was on the bubble for the first election but voted for Ardern and squarely on the next. I intend to vote for her on the next too mostly due to Covid but also because in an uncertain world you need adaptive leadership and she has it.

I went into town today. Bank, op shop, Mitre 10. Buzzing. Everyone was out and about including some very old people. Everyone was giving each other a wide berth, especially the vulnerable. You could see exactly why we vaccine and mask.And to a person we were all good with that.

I live in New Zealand where we have zero community cases and I wear a mask on public transport. Compliance is near 100% here. Delta's R0 is so high if it did get through we'd be sitting ducks. How difficult is that for them to understand?

I lived in NY in 2001. My friend, a paramedic, ran to the building to help and saw people throwing themselves to the ground in front of him. He was never the same. Friends lost their brothers. A firefighter in our building died. What she said was unforgivable.
