Everyone is a migrant just different time horizons of migration - all originally East African (I believe) with slightly variant journeys to our current place..
1 out of every 30 people in the world is a migrant. People move for a variety of reasons: to seek a better life, to find safety, to reunite with family. No matter where they are from, no matter where they are going, the rights of migrants must be protected.

While I understand the sentiment behind the statement, I believe it’s structurally inappropriate. Measuring contribution solely through financial or economic impact is insufficient. We need a much broader thesis of contribution—one that encompasses security, health, and social well-being in the UK, far beyond purely economic terms. This includes contributions such as charitable efforts, community center support, and other forms of societal value. A multi-dimensional theory of contribution would provide a far more compelling and powerful benchmark.
The average skilled worker immigrant made a net contribution of £16,300 to the UK economy last year, @NatashaC reports. James O'Brien notes that the average Brit contributes £800 a year - 20 times less. 'Some food for thought, for those who are capable of thought', he says.
