its giving early PC music but genuinely diaristic. that part at the end where she's like "bring the beat back" but the beat stays the same, the irony feels bittersweet
rewatching I Saw the TV Glow, even knowing that this moment is going for campy uncanniness, I still felt the symmetry matched with its logical disjointedness (esp in reevoking 90s TV) reminded me of AI-gen imagery, as well as derivative, sterile aesthetics of analog horror.
using AI/AI-generated as an adjective for sucky or vapid art, music, movies could offer insight to the uninspired/insensible commonalities between the two, but most of the time it's just a hacky jab
When I say Trap is an instant cult classic and a masterpiece, this is a major part in why I say that.
