ماهي أهمية الحرب على داعش في بونتلاند/الصومال. أوّلا: لأنها تهدد الأمن الدولي بقربها على الممرات الاستراتيجية، وكونها متاخمة لليمن مع إمكانية تحالفها مع الحوثيين. ثانيا: لأنهم يسيطرون على مناطق غنية بالذهب والمعادن الثمينة، وفعلاً قد بدأو بالمتاجرة، واستطاعوا الحصول على الذهب وإرساله الى الأسواق العالمية. ثالثا: كون أمير داعش في الصومال "عبد القادر مؤمن" القائد العام للداعش في أفريقيا. ويعتبر تحييده قطع الاتصال بينه وبين الفروع الأخرى لداعش في القارة السمراء. رابعا: لعل الرئيس الأمريكي "ترامب" يحتاج قصة نجاح سريعة في الحرب على الارهاب. خامسا: وفي حال هزيمة تنظيم داعش في جبال بونتلاند، تصبح حركة الشباب, المستفيدة الوحيدة، وسيَخْلَى لها الجو بمفردها دون عناء من طرفها.
