I today, met with officers from various regions, including Elgon, East Kyoga, North Kyoga, Mt. Moroto, and the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU), at Soroti Hotel in Soroti District. We discussed security concerns in the commanders' Areas of Responsibility, how to foster collaboration, and boost officer morale. I also emphasized the importance of discipline, urging officers to avoid corruption and observe human rights. I emphasized the need to fast track the implementation of the sub-county Policing model and supporting government programs under the parish development model. The meeting was attended by Regional Police Commanders, Division and District Commanders, CID Officers, and community Liaison officers.

Today, I joined thousands of mourners to bid farewell to the late Brigadier General Oluka Charles at his ancestral home Ousia Village, Apapai Sub-County Kalaki District. Brig Gen Oluka was a friend of @PoliceUg, and his contributions to the fight against crime in Uganda will be deeply missed. Throughout his career, Brig Gen Oluka demonstrated exceptional dedication and service, earning him recognition as a steadfast peace maker and an Ambassador of Justice. His legacy will continue to inspire the Uganda Police Force. I extend my heartfelt condolences to President Yoweri Museveni, the UPDF fraternity, Internal Security Organization, friends, and relatives of the late Brigadier General Oluka Charles. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Today, I held a consultative meeting with stakeholders from the minerals industry to discuss the effective management of gold and other precious minerals transactions in Uganda at Uganda Police Headquarters, Naguru. The meeting, chaired by Mrs. Irene Bateebe, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, aimed to enhance collaboration among stakeholders. In attendance was Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke, Head @AntiGraft_SH; @edthnaka from the State House Investors Unit, and officials from the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Airport Security.

We focused on enhancing security for NIRA's operations and how Uganda Police Force can support these efforts for robust national security.

Today, I met the German Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Mathias Schauer, at Police Headquarters in Naguru to discuss cooperation strategies aimed at combating crime. The Uganda Police Force has previously benefited from German training programs in various areas, including forensic photography and narcotic investigations.
