“Pacing”
Mahomes would have to average 5,036 yards and 37 TDs in the regular season for 12 years just to MATCH what Tom Brady.
In addition, he would need to average two postseason wins a season for another decade, once again, just to match what Brady did.
Throwing on the run is harder than throwing in the pocket. Really just that simple.
Tom Brady didn't have the ability to extend plays.
A qb who has to throw it away is not as talented as a qb who creates things when plays break down.
That simple.
Patrick Mahomes retires today he’s the best I’ve ever seen, & there’s no conversation. He goes into the Hall with no vote. It’s almost become laughable. We should probably stop critiquing regular season woes and struggles. Just wait until Championship weekend & watch then.
Tom Brady has twice taken over a team that was under .500 the year before and then won a Super Bowl in his first season and people think he is just a guy
The reason I think Mahomes is Michael Jordan is because Jordan relegated so many would-be legends to minor characters. He left literally no breathing room for anyone else and shaped the legacies of basically all his contemporaries. We might be seeing it again. He's on his way.
It’s pretty clear that the only people who actually want “Belichick out” are the local media members that have been wishing it true for several years now.
Fun fact: Tom Brady hasn’t missed a Super Bowl since he was honored (and booed heavily) in San Fran at SB50 with the other former MVPs.
The North remembers.
These two plays are great examples of this silly “arm talent” debate.
Essentially, Brady is deemed the lesser arm talent because he doesn’t run around before the throw.
Don’t blame Rodgers. He has been without multiple lineman, his top receiver for four games, his best tight end for multiple games, his best running back for several games (in addition to losing two other running backs for most of the season).
Oh wait. Wrong notes. That’s Brady.
Teams at BUF, TB, MIA, BAL & NO (2020 season comparison):
Chiefs: 5-0, 30.4 PPG, 477.0 YPG
Rest of NFL: 7-24, 20.1 PPG, 333.3 YPG
"Nobody is beating this team. The Chiefs just completed the greatest run on the road in a single season in NFL history." —

With the annual

proclamation of Tom Brady’s demise, never forget this clip from 2012 when Brady was 35...
Since then:
92-20
188 TDs
45 INTs
26,180 yards
1 MVP
11-4 playoff record
3 SB appearances, 2 Wins, 2 MVPs
32 TDs, 11 INTs, 4,941 yards

The Patrick Mahomes diving play in the SB has to be the best throw I’ve seen in the postseason, and maybe ever.
He hit his WR in the facemask while throwing it parallel to the ground. Nobody else would have been that close. NOBODY.
Best throw ever.
I cannot wait for Sunday!
After Dan Mariano’s incredible first three seasons, he averaged 21 TDs, 17 INTs, and 3500 yards the rest of his career.
No, he would not throw 6,000 yards a season.
The Patriots better absolutely nail this next coaching hire because if not, those clamoring/celebrating for Belichick’s exit are going to be in for a rude awakening.
Former player continues to whitewash Tom Brady’s career… it’s quite embarrassing actually.
There exists a world where you can appreciate Mahomes greatness and not say silly things like this.
Exactly my thought. Brady has been incredibly surface-level.
Maybe he's just a bit uneasy, but he's Tom Brady. He knows more football than most of us could ever imagine. Let it rip.
Kim Kardashian shopping for home in Tom Brady’s community and the pair are friendly.
“Kim really likes Tom. She phoned him and asked him for his advice on Baker’s Bay.” According to Page Six.
If Jordan didn’t need 11 to pass Russell, why does Mahomes need 7 to pass Brady? 3-4 would be enough for me because my eyes and some of the numbers have said “he’s better” for years.
The only way you come to this conclusion is to just ignore a lot of NFL history… many of it recent.
I guess if you want to reduce your “analysis” to this, more power to you.
I love when people say we “MUST appreciate his greatness” like he doesn’t get credit constantly and then, to add icing on the cake, they lie and say there has never been anyone like him.
Doesn’t matter where Patrick Mahomes plays he is SPECTACULAR and we need to appreciate his greatness as it unfolds. He is clutch, he wins from the pocket and outside the pocket consistently. We have never seen anything like
@PatrickMahomes
in NFL History.
You have only come to this conclusion by either ignoring Brady’s existence OR it’s a shameless engagement farm.
Either way, I assure you, you can appreciate Mahomes greatness without prematurely anointing him and just glossing over the history of the NFL.
Tom Brady the last three games:
71-of-106
952 yards
6TDs 1 INT
110.3 Passer Rating
8.98 YPA
9.69 AY/A
(*4 rushes for 7 yards)
The 41 year old is only getting better as the season progresses. The year is far from over.
@FPC_Patriots
I think we need to reinvent our definition of “GOAT”. There’s a difference between being the most accomplished and being the best/greatest. Grouping those together loses context imo.
@LukeBarnett
@MattWalshBlog
You are correct. It’s like walking by a poster of a movie in a movie theater that you have no intention of seeing but it is counted as a view. Even then, the actual view metric is flimsy as well.
Discrediting Brady for his pass attempt total in favor of Rodgers is giving Rodgers credit for what he “could do” when Brady has actually done it.
Make it make sense.
@MikeRiverso
@MattBinder
Exactly true! Twitter removed the public view count of the videos just a few days ago. Probably after they did this with Tuckers video and were getting called out because of it.
UPDATED:
Once again, looking beyond just the surface, Tom Brady is the clear favorite heading into the final week of the season.

Mahomes Brady talks are really beginning to spice up lately. Think whatever you want but whatever you do, please do not let Brady Twitter gaslight you into thinking he ever had the edge in the arm talent war. Lmfao
Both Manning’s have winning records against Brady in the playoffs. Big Ben ate Rodgers ate Bree’s ate Joe fucking Flacco ate. I’d say he fucked up Philip rivers but everyone did 💀. He really only prevented Big Ben from being an all time great but shit he still got 2 rings
@AC051996
@Fantasy4Casts
@iglen31
See I caught you, Brady was better than pat at reading defenses im not arguing that. But to say he can make the same throws at pat simply isn’t true. Pat has the most gifted arm we’ve probably ever seen
@RaheemKassam
@Coach_U_09
Right. You make an unintelligent post and your best comeback to someone pointing out the absurdity of it is to launch a personal attack.
@iglen31
He sucked. Couldn’t hit the deep ball until 2nd Carolina game. His short quick offense HE wanted to run did not work. Bucs offense had so many 3 and outs. Scored 17PPg which is nearly dead last in league. He missed throws this year he normally wouldn’t have.
File this under sports stories I want to see:
The Patriots win their 7th Super Bowl, surpassing the Steelers, with Antonio Brown in the first 19-0 season surpassing the Dolphins of 72 in.... Miami.
The Saints are really the Dolphins of the NFC South for the Patriots. Not only do they give Brady fits, they celebrate like they won a Super Bowl after and are often headed towards a non playoff season
The only thing Brady did better than Mahomes is pre-snap stuff. Once the ball is snapped, there is nothing Brady does better than Mahomes. And the post-snap gap is a lot bigger than the pre-snap gap.
@RealBirdLawyer
"Wins aren't a quarterback stat" never seemed to get mentioned about Brady. Opposite in fact. All anyone said is the guy knows how to win.
