@USDOT @FAADroneZone The USDOT and FAA don’t know drones are saving lives and aiding rescue efforts by flying insulin to inaccessible regions, locating trapped and isolated individuals, and providing imagery to the world.

@USDOT @FAADroneZone False. Watch for manned aircraft and yield as always but drone operations EXPAND the capabilities of operations on the ground. ESPECIALLY this disaster. Stay absent like you have been on every disaster since this administration appointed you, Pete. You’re an abject failure.

@ted_macie I thought your original post was one of the boldest and most courageous reports I’ve ever listened to. This one is an exemplary act of moral courage. The shame of this scenario is that our nation needs men like you and Brad Miller in leadership positions. Men of sterling.

@CynicalPublius According to ChatGPT, that qualified as the largest live political audience in history. It credited Obama's inauguration with 38 million + unknown streaming viewers. If this event's numbers were between 60-70 million, it just dwarfed any known political broadcast.

@CynicalPublius Since all authority for this matter seems to extend from the power of the holder of the pen, I recommend President Trump reverse those pardons today and let the Constitutional reviews begin. It would ultimately serve as precedent for future administrations to consider.

@USDOT @FAADroneZone This backwards thinking sets the drone industry back 20 years. That’s how out of touch this guy is. It is abundantly clear to everyone that this admin has no clue what’s going on in these hard hit areas. Drones are a a non-negotiable asset to the folks on the ground there.

@pete40460 Pete. I've seen the video. I've listened to the tape audio. I've seen the flight data for both aircraft. I'm a career helicopter pilot and an aviation accident investigator with worldwide experience and there is nothing that indicates this was an intentional act.

@pete40460 You're assigning intent to something you have no way of knowing to be true and you're completely discounting the fact that no sane person intentionally flies a helicopter into a passenger jet. What you're suggesting is literally insane. And you'd have to be that to believe it.

@FAADroneZone This has got to be the singlemost tone deaf, unaware, and ignorant post this office has ever issued. The FAA has shamed itself in front of the world by insinuating this is a concern. What’s concerning is, there IS NO federal response for them to interfere with. They’re saving.
