Part of the Carnival experience is costume collection… as a masquerader that’s another milestone waiting for them 2 days. Carnival is a business but also a cultural one so we need to be careful w/ “innovation”. All this to say his point is shit because they digitise alot already.
I dunno but a huge enjoyable Carnival experience FOR ME is going to collect my costume, seeing the other people I’m going to spend 2 days with on the road, getting shown how to put on my parts. I’m all for digitization & convenience, but Carnival for me is people and interacting.
